John Inman died :(

My dad just told me that John Inman died, 71 years old. A lot of you probably don't know who he is but I had to share this terrible news. He was an actor from my favourite comedy show, 'Are you Being Served?' from the 70's and...*sigh* every time I watch that show for a while, I'll probably just be reminded of this. RIP John

He only got married in 2005.

Another forum I frequent, a lass called Mel used to post a thread called 'John Inman...' at least 5 times a year and then just a cry-y face and people who were unfamiliar with the tradition thought he'd died.

I can't believe this time he actually IS. She's moved on to Tony Hart now.

I loved "Are You Being Served?". I was under the impression he was gay for years after that though...
