Uncommon ways to save money on gas

I think the fact that the entire world is taken by a distinct sense of apathy would say that yes. you are.

For a start, are you the entire world? No. People do care. You can't ignore all the media attention global warming has had recently and it's in the UK nation's concience at least. Unless you've been hiding under a rock recently anyhow.

People do care but I guess some people are just too lazy to do their bit sometimes. To me, it's not hard to walk 10 minutes down the road to go to the shop instead of jumping in the car all the time. But I guess I'm not that lazy.

Now, my no news policy aside, I honestly doubt people care, and no, going round the shop isn't caring, it's saving money.
Walking into town because your too lazy to wait five minutes for a bus isn't caring either, it's just my unique brand of laziness.

But from my perspective of the real world and actual people, they do care. My friends started up a huge recycling campaign in school and turned the whole school "green". They convinced the head to buy bins for outside so people were allowed to eat out there, got the council to provide us with recycling bins and organised recycling prefects. And this was two seventeen year old girls in one school. Now we've left, the school is carrying on with the green campaign and it has now opened up to the entire borough. It may not do much but it's better than nothing.

So if you can't give me any examples of how 'no-one actually cares', I'll regard your so called facts as null and void.

With that aswell the schools of my country are all turning greener using some of the same initatives Twinkle mentioned. The university at which I am studying is also attempting to give us a strong enviromental ethos and is also attempting to be 'greener'. Back home in Wales my family recycles papers, glass, tins and cans, cardboard etc. As do all people in my county.

The reality is that people are becoming more enviromentally friendly and more people are awakening to their responsibilities.

Your point is null and void. You say no-one cares. I've just shown you how people do actually care. Therefore, null and void.

I'm going to give up on this because obvously the entire world is hard and bad and everyone in it couldn't care less about anyone but themselves. I just do not appreciate being called no-one.
