I haven's seen it yet (hopefully tonight), but can anyone tell me if they left in the scene wit Neville's parents at the hospital?

About the Frank and Alice Longbottom scene:
Sorry, it was left out. But you do get a good amount of backstory on it. I was kind of dissapointed about the lack of St. Mungo's, too.

Ah, well. :( I guess I should have seen that coming, though. Thanks for the heads up, Fidds.

True, it would have been great if they'd included St. Mungo's because Gilderoy could have made his guest appearance!

 I'd forgotten about that! On a side note...
In the next movie, I hope they keep all the special guests at Dumbledore's funeral, especially Umbridge and Rita Skeeter.

I see it tomorow at 10 AM. I'm already peeved, because in a preview I saw,

it shows Neville finding the Room of Requirement instead of Dobby telling Harry about it. That irks me. I like Dobby :(

I was pleasently surprised. I waited in line for a while and only got the 9:50 Pm movie so I got out of there late. I have to say, it was the best of the 4 movies by far. The only things that were left out were not so important. Altho the Percy thing would have put more family values in such a dark movie. The jokes were funny and gave everyone a good laugh. The scene with the twins and the fireworks was amazingly done.

Luna Lovegood was just awesome. I kinda liked her character in the book but it seems Harry finds her more annoying in the book then in the movie. Overall I think they represented her perfectly. I couldn't have asked for better from her. I loved the way she spoke and her facial expressions. It was just like i had imagined it ^_^

Umbridge was also well acted. The second she was shown in her pink you heard half the crowd at the movies go "ohh god". People instantly hated her which is what was supposed to happen. Her evilness behind the "good person" image was amazing. She was so hateable.

Overall I think this is the best of the moves as of now. I always like the books more for sure and this is no different. That being said I still liked the movie.

I'm glad they left it out, actually. That would've been such a disappointing scene if it weren't done perfectly.

I didn't realize until later that in the scene where Dumbledore escapes, that's Percy holding Harry and Cho's collars.

I just stopped by IMDb to check a fact, and I noticed one of the discussion topics: "HILARY DUFF WOULD HAS MADE THIS MOVIE MIRACLEOUS"
:roflol:

If "miracleous" is Latin or something for "horrifically terrible enough to bring about the apocalypse and shrivel the eye sockets of all witnesses", I'd have to say I agree!

Twas good, Fire snakes and all.
Not really much more I can say, what was left out was utterly forgettable or easily replaced, and as such made good cinematography choices.
Although if that lake gets any bigger the entire world will drown.

If she's crazy enough that she thinks she can sing, she's crazy enough to be Luna.

Okay, I finally saw it and here's what I think:
It was clearly the best out of all the movies so far. It never seemed slow, and even the things that were cut didn't take away from the movie magic...although I'll miss the hospital scene, the other rooms in the Department of Mysteries, and the fireworks that wrote curse words (the last of which I can excuse them for excluding). Like seemingly everyone else in the world, I loved Luna Evanna Lynch. I honestly hope they exaggerate her role in the next book just so she can get more screen time. :) However, the best thing coming from this movie was the knowledge that the next will be just as good, if not better, because it is being directed by David Yates again and the book was considerably shorter than OotP...yet if the movie is just as long as this one, then it would still be able to retain most of the fine details...I hope.

I totally agree with you, especially on the Luna Lovegood character. She was probably my favorite non-trio character in the Harry Potter books, and I'm really glad they did her justice on screen. At least, in my opinion.

The fireworks scene was also magnificent!

The best of the movies, and the books, in my opinion. I really liked the 5th installment. I watched the movie in "3D" but I was a little peeved because only 20 minutes of the movie itself is actually IN 3D. The tickets were like twice as expensive, too!

Luna was even better than perfect o.O
Oh, and Bellatrix was pretty darn awesome too!
And to top it all off, the seventh book will be released in five days...
