Something weird has happened to the view of Krawk Island.






This also fits in to a little hint we got on Facebook - Jellyneo staffers went to the Neo offices for a tour and on one of the photos (that showed an events calender) an event was blurred out straight after the Altador Cup.

I dunno. My computer couldn't see the image, until I modified the URL. It might have just been me.

It looks like Krawk Island is being dragged under the water.

How odd. Is this a monster P3 (à là Mysterious Isle)? Maraqua trying to expand its territory? Hopefully we'll find out soon enough!

Great. I just logged out of Neopets and logged right back in after reading this so I could verify. THAT...is cool. And in regards to the image change, there may have been a coding error that accidentally switched the file to the sunken island they intend to show at the proper date. I mean...wow. That's one way to update the look and feel of Krawk Island alright.

Pay no attention to whatever you think you saw that might have gone up a bit too early and has now reverted back to what it's supposed to be until such time as it may or may not change back to the thing you weren't supposed to see.

Codestone and negg prices have already skyrocketed in anticipation. I hope the plot starts soon (so it can end that much sooner), so that I can get on with training again. I'm at the 350 boosts though -- I think I was only at 200, maybe 250 during TFR, and I managed to reach the cap on all opponents.

This humble little shanty may not be much, but it's all that's left of the once-proud Krawk Island. The fellow living here, a venerable old Krawk who seems like a decent enough type, welcomes you in. You can't help but glance at the map on his wall, which is covered with all sorts of observations and ideas.


Oh look, a visitor... hello, I'm Gavril McGill. As you can imagine, I were quite startled when I woke up this morning to find that nearly all of Krawk Island had vanished, so pardon me if I seem rather out of sorts. I mean, for this tiny plot of land where I make my home to be spared when not even a trace of the rest of the island remains... it gives me the chills just thinkin' about it!

Now that you've signed on to search for Krawk Island, Gavril McGill has assigned you an area to search based on his charts. He's very thorough. To search a specific sector, click on one of the squares to get a closer look and see what you can find.

It seems the island parts are 2x2 quadrants. Don't keep your ocean clicks too close together.

Yep, that is right. Islands are 4 squares big. If you find an island (or a treasure), that turn doesn't count, so you still have that turn left.

I had 8 turns on a couple of maps - found 2 islands, 1 'treasure', as well as my 5 non-finds.


Basically you start with 25 turns at finding and island/treasure. You have 5 turns at choosing a part of the map, then within that map you have 5+ chances.

I'm not liking these non-tradeable chests that take NC to open. At least they match my gallery theme, but I only need 1 (which is all I have so far). I hope I get some free NC from Expellibox soon.

I do like this "event" so far. I thought it was too soon for another plot, but if this were something small like Cyodrake's Gaze, it could be fun.
