Tues: AC is only kinda fixed. It's running, at least, but it's now thrown the same error multiple times. This morning it took 2 hours before it came back up. This afternoon it was a matter of minutes. I called again and was like, this is like having a computer randomly throwing a BSOD and rebooting it "fixes" it, but it could keep happening and that's considered "fixed." It is not fixed. It's not running properly. So....someone is coming out again tomorrow during normal business hours so that they have access to the brand hotline (because of course, that's not available after hours when they wanted to send someone out again today, and two of the three times now that we've had someone out has been after hours and not able to fully troubleshoot.) Needless to say, at least the house is currently cool, but I feel like we're running on borrowed time. I'm blazing through as much laundry as I can while it's running, with the hopes that I'll be able to get enough done to make it through this mess (because I didn't run any while we had no AC because that would've been awful - it was 88 upstairs before it was fixed).

Weds: Still waiting for the guys to come fix it. The window they gave us is more than halfway over, and we're quickly running out of "business hours." The unit has now sent out at least 34 errors since the guy was here Monday night. I got through all my laundry and have been trying to overcool the house today to get it lower than we normally keep it so it doesn't warm up too much while the guy is working...assuming he ever shows up.

Sounds horrible, P. Hopefully they have already arrived and figured out the problem before I am typing this! I have said through life that I would rather be cold than hot. You can always put on more clothes, but there's only so much you can take off Humidity makes it all the worse.

I hope they finally figured out what was wrong and fixed it, P!

Unfortunately no such luck with the AC. We got the senior tech, but of course, it was working while he was here, but he's well aware it's not fixed and gave us his personal number to text if/when (when) errors started popping up again. He's technically off today so couldn't come by, but he gave us some things to look for so we've been keeping track of the errors, data, etc, today. Hopefully he'll be able to come out tomorrow and we'll get somewhere. It's been off and on all day, but is currently off.

We had no AC all night last night (it went down hard right as I was moving the one load of laundry I HAD to do yesterday from the washer to the dryer, sigh). Tech came out this morning and was able to pin it down to the wire that communicates from the outside unit to the inside. What a mess. It's up and running now. We'll need to have a new wire run or the problem is likely to repeat itself, so that'll be scheduled here soon, but at least it's getting cooler in our house now!

I'm not sure what to make of that mustard, Blue. Maybe if I actually liked mustard? There are some truly strange things that they've flavored dill pickle...

The way they run the lines to the outside when they build houses here is apparently....not the best. Because of this, it's not uncommon for the line to get damaged and then start to deteriorate. Sigh. It is what it is. But it's been nice to have cold air again!
