After an unsuccessful attempt to start from were we stopped, I've decided to start all over. Perhaps it can start up again. It is a little different from the old version

The world, history, and the lot

In the year 2335, technology was at it's height. Every house was run by thousands of programs, even the ones owned by the poor. The stock market was also at its height. Buying and selling was a get-rich-quick thing that really worked. And even if you where just a humble working person, you had a steady income of at least $100,000 a year. But people has for gotten that these good times might not last.

In 2339, a unknown country with an equally unknown bomb attacked the state of New Mexico. 90% of the population died as soon as the bomb hit the ground. 50% of the remaining died within a day after the impact.

The remaining people, mostly that of far north and far south, moved out of the country with whatever they had left.

A week after this, 9 other states had been bombed, including Texas, Alaska, Utah, Maryland, and New York. Including the few who lived to tell the tale, 80% of the population of the U.S.A had left the country. The once strong country was now a waste land with few people in it.

Then the people running this bomb tired of this country, and moved on the China and Russia. Soon, only 25% of the worlds population remained, only a fourth of its former glory of 4 billion.

And all people gathered to the same place: Antarctica.

On December 7th, 2340, at least five of these bombs where dropped on Antarctica. Around 20% of the remaining population was killed, and at least 65% of what had been ice melted. The remaining knew the had to band together if the human race was to survive. And so, the New Era began, leaving the A.Ds behind.
So the world began to live again. The children played, and the old people where cared for. The technology was of that of about 2025.

Then, in 2360, a strange discover was made. In a effort to find more of the once great planet of Earth, people began digging around. Then, a odd discover was made in Texas. The remains of a lab, with not only computers that seemed unharmed, but also a few people, living off what they could find after being nearly crushed. But they could not remember anything, except about “The children.”

These “children” turned out to be some sealed children, frozen in ice. Unfreezing them, and using the technology of raising a baby out side of its mother, they began to grow.

But these children where strange. Some looked like mermaids, and others had dog ears. Tests where made, and they seemed to have 10% of one animals or another's DNA. No one knew how these children developed, but they knew that these where amazing children. Named Anoku(An-u-co) they became a part of life.

Now, in 2440, these people are a normal sight. Able to communicate with the animals they are from, along with being able to survive in the conditions of the places said animals come from, they are a little scary.

The people have become a close-knit community, all providing for each other. The whole world is one government, no countrys.There are few stores, most is bought in the market. Many people live a life of sailing, as the world is now a bunch of Islands

Today is the a special day. It is the anniversary of the discovery of the Anoku. All schools are closed, all shops are open. We all live around the "Southwest strip," or rather, rennets of the south west states. Each year, many people gather to the capital, Geara, to celebrate holidays. Humans and Anoku go to the same schools as humans, perform the same tasks as humans, and are treated the same as humans. However, studies show that Anoku are more porn to being bullied and teased then humans. This is where our story starts

Personality: Celina is a cheerful, but somewhat airy girl. She lives with her mother, sister, and father, and spends her time reading books or getting presents for her friends. The market is heaven for her, with so much food and culture around her.
Appearance: Her upper half is that of a human girl. She has long, messy, brown hair, and plain blue eyes.
From the hips down, she has the body of a squid. Her "legs" are a dark red. While she can move fast underwater, getting around on land is a hassle

Animal: Wolf
Personality: Easily frightened, but once she gets over her fright she makes an able fighter. She loves reading of the Dead Times, before the bombings, long, long before. She does her best to be noble. Unfortunately she is very shy along with being easily scared, which makes her an easy target.
Appearance: She is like a centaur in a way. She has a mostly wolven body, more animal than human, more animal than most of the Anokus. Her head is humanlike with long, pale golden hair, except with a longer snout, fangs and pointed furry ears. Her arms seem undecided- they are like a human's till the elbow, where they change smoothly to white fur, becoming large paws with opposable thumbs. She is awkward walking, but is a fast runner over long distances. [[I'm gonna draw a picture or something o.O]]

Gender: Female
Animal: Red-Tailed Hawk
Personality: Much like that of a hawk. She is stern, a strong beleiver of what she believes in, and is quiet and shy. However, if she befriends you, she is loyal, and will not leave your side even when things seem the darkest
Appearance: She has Amber-Gold colored eyes, that seem to peirce through your very soul. Her arms are almost normal; however, they have feathers coming down, like a birds wing, and she has a tail that matches. Her hair--a hawk-brown--seems almost feather like, and around her eyes are small feathers.

And I forgot to mention- she always wears a black headband and is an albino. Why headband? I was getting Rankin-Bass ROTK vibes and I went with it. Why albino? It's just something I do in RPs!

Beware the power of the Griffon, for they can be mightier than even the Dragon!

Name: Lydia Tillfallow

Gender: Female
Animal: Horse
Personality: Very shy, withdrawn and insecure about herself. Being the outsider she is Lydia is still very kind and helpful to those who show her respect. She is also very intelligent and good in school.
Appearance: Has mostly human features but due to her father being an Anoku she has a couple of horse features as well. This includes a thick dark brown mane ending at the middle of her back and quite long eyelashes like horses have. She also has the tale of a horse. Her humanly features are pretty average, she is quite tall though. Her body is slim and a bit on the muscular side and her face looks very cute, so to say. Lydia's eyes have a piercing green color and her lips are rosy pink. Her skin has a golden tan on it
Thoughts on Anoku: As she is a half-Anoku she has never felt that she belonged to be with the Anoku. Then again she never felt that she belonged with the humans either so that is how she became an outsider. She doesn't dislike the Anoku, but would rather be completely human to fit in better. Still she would be happy if she got accepted by the Anoku as well.

Personality strange, an outsider, alway ready for a fight, but when it comes to her frieinds, she will do anyhing.

Personality: Happy go lucky, strong and courageous, independant,
Appearance: Soft golden brown hair, with large green eyes, that sometimes glow in the dark. She has a narrow face with long wirey whiskers, her coat of fur is short and soft almost velvety to the touch.
0ther: Katina comes from the caves and hangs around with the couger tribe. One of the things Katina enjoys most is basking in the sun and taking in cat naps. When it comes to hunting she is most skillful and powerful, with keen eyesite which is best at night or in the dark caves. She has powerfull claws that could peirce you with one swat.

Personality: Aary tends to be moody, complete with mood swings from hyperness to depression. But on a whole, her humour tends to be dark and rather morbid.
Appearance: Aary looks more or less like an ordinary human, having short inky black hair that goes just below her lips, a rather pale complexion, and is of an average height for a 16-year-old. However, her irises are a pale yellow, thus causing her eyes to be very sensitive to sunlight. In order to be able to venture outside during the daytime, she wears nearly opaque black sunglasses. At night, she still wears glasses, abeit slightly tinted ones, for her eyesight, like a bat's, is absolutely horrible. On the other hand, her ears, shaped like bats' pointed ones, are rather keen and she can hear her way around fairly well. Perhaps the trait that clearly defines her as an Anoku are the black bat wings that sprout from her shoulder blades. Leathery and spanning 12 feet from tip to tip, they tend to be more of a hindrance than a help, getting on the way all the time, unless restrained underneath a cloak or duct taped to her back. ((oh yeah, gotta love that duct tape...))

"Oh how I hate to get up in the morning. Oh, how I hate to get out of bed!"

Celina heard her mothers singing and quickly jetted out of her bed. It was a nice bed, a wood frame and a seaweed mattress. Da had bought it for her in the market. She raced down the hall, full of her mothers water-proof paintings. Celina was the cute, friendly one, and Annabelle, her sister, was the brains. Her Ma was upset that no one had inherited her artist ability. It was "to late" for Annabelle, however, she still had hopes for Celina. People think its because you can't make a living being an airhead, even if it was cute.

Zooming into the dinning room, she found her family already there. Ma was pure Atlantic brief squid, with her small build(she was about 4'5), spotted tentacles, and flaming red hair. Da was a Humboldt, being very tall(a little over 6 feet), and having a red bottom half, like Celina.

Her sister combined her parents perfectly. She had Da's height, and Ma's bottom half. She also had long golden hair, god only knows were that came from. Celina hatted her sometime.

"Good Morning!" She said in a cheerful way.

"Well, if it isn't little Miss Sunshine!" Da said, picking her up and swinging her around. Her mother moved along, dropping waffles on the plates. Celina squirmed out of her Da's arms and to the waffles. She was pig sometimes, devouring, anything she could eat in her path, as long as it wasn't meat. Her family was respectful of her neighbors, and refused to eat meat.

After devouring her pancakes, she asked "May I please go up a head of you guys?" Her mother nodded and she zoomed out of her house.

Celina's home was different then most. She lived in the caves along the coast line. The place was called "The Cave Apartments." Celina's home was a good size, including a dinning room, kitchen, living room, studio, office, and three bedrooms. It was fairly nice.

Celina zoom through "Float town" which was a bunch of floating buildings for the landies. Some had underwater rooms. Celina was happy she could live in the water all the time.

Animal: White Tiger
Personality: Usually keeps to himself but is very kind and caring once you befriend him. He is honest, loyal, and lives with honor
Appearance: Raiu is basically a human with white fur, long white hair, grey cat eyes, he has long white hair that goes to his shoulders, he has pointed ears that poke through his hair, he has fangs, claws, and a white tiger tail. Raiu is about 6"2' and has an athletic build.
Other: Raiu has been an outcast his whole life for he looks nothing like a human thanks to his fur. He bacame a mercenary and he has grown to like his life as a wondering mercenary.

She cocked her head slightly, examining the sight before her. Her eyes flicked around, looking for any movement, anything that might hint of food. She screeched loudly.

"Erit." her adopted human-sister, Tricia, said. "Your acting strange again."

Glaring at Tricia, Erit settled herself, fluffing her feathers. "Of course. I'm not like you, remember? I'm an Anoku."

Tricia rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes. And you are the only one I know that acts like your animal."

"You forget that before your parents found me, I was wild. I don't even know who my own parents were." Erit pointed out. "Why should I forget my past?"

Sticking her tongue out, Tricia lightly pushed Erit. "Because. I don't like you when you act weird."

Aary hung upside down from a rafter in her bedroom, dozing. Actually, it couldn't really be called a bedroom mainly because of its closet-like qualities. Though she was asleep, her wings twitched slightly as her eyebrows furrowed. An abnormably large wing twitch made her loose her grip on the rafter and she fell--very ungracefully--to the ground in a heap.

"Ow."

Lydia had always been an early bird and by now she had already put on some casual clothes, a white shirt and a black miniskirt and a pair of slip in shoes. She had also eaten a light breakfast and left her house to go to the park and draw sketches of the surroundings there. She found this was very calming preparing herself for the new school day ahead. This way she did not get as stressed as usual.

Lydia shut the whole world outside as she drew several pictures of trees, birds and the sky with careful hand movements over the paper.

"Look, I can't draw a proper picture of you if you keep jumping all over the place." she said to a small sparrow in front of her feet.
