My Signature Was Too Bad =(
Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
On the main Neopets page:
Not that I would have, anyway.
I guess that includes the Roothless prizes. I checked to see if DD shows up in the High Scores table -- it does for "my scores," but when I clicked on the title to go to *the* high score table, it said the game doesn't exist. Sure enough, you can't play it anymore.Event prizes coming soon... or eventually.

Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!
Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
No mention of the DD glitch. Well, usually they're not big on mentioning those, but still, I assume they're not going to do anything about it now.
First the Tarla toolbar thing, and now this. Way to really screw over the Mac and Linux users, Neopets. I don't care if beating DD was only for a bonus, it's still unfair.
EDIT: Sorry y'all, I know I've pretty much done nothing but whine about this lately - but it really has upset me, and none of my friends play Neopets regularly, so this is pretty much the only place I can vent about it without going into a long winding explanation about why I'm upset (and still not have it be totally understood). ("Um...I don't really get it, but it sounds bad, sorry?")
I'll try really hard to make non-whiny posts one of these days. =\ Assuming I don't totally quit Neopets after this whole ordeal.

The news also says
That... uh... isn't very reassuring either.
Just so you know, Daily Dare prizes are coming... we aren't sure when yet, but they are coming. :)

Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
You'd think they would have finished the story though... or atleast some kind of conclusion
...perhapse when the prizes are released? (this is my first time doing Daily Dare)

I never did finish that silly game, however I did send in a score so hopefully I get some kind of credit for it. If not Owell .. that game was starting to drive me bonkers.

Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
I myself am extremely miffed about having 'failed' at the Roothless challenge due entirely to circumstances beyond my control. It ain't fair, plain and simple, and I know that I at least sent in about three separate bug reports from two different machines (one about Windows FireFox crashing, and two from Mac Firefox and Safari and the other browser I only just downloaded and can't for the life of me remember the name of).
Roothless said that people who accepted his challenge but failed would be walking away with a significantly lighter prize load; this either means we just miss out on the Roothless prize, or we miss out on a chunk of the DD prize in addition to the Roothless prize, neither of which I think is particularly fair to people who have Unix-based operating systems.
(Or people who have Windows OS but don't use IE.)
Bah, fie, and a pox on thee, TNT. Yeh'd think they'd test for that sort of thing on multiple browsers for just such a glitch...

I played with Windows and FF and had no problems, and I'm pretty sure a number of other people did too. But it's silly for TNT to ignore compatibility issues, especially for a major site event. I still vote everyone affected write to the editorial -- if enough people do, maybe they'll feel they have to at least address it.
I hope that trying to beat Roothless won't keep you from getting one of the 4 "main" prizes if you earned it -- that just doesn't seem fair. In terms of the Roothless prize, maybe you'll get one of the consolation prizes -- not really fair, but better than someone who didn't challenge Roothless at all. That's what I'd do if I were TNT, anyway. I really expected them to tweak the game and leave the challenge open another day or two (this could have been fairer if they tweaked it so it had the glitch in IE but not in Unix/Mac -- so that mostly only the affected players got more time).
{passes out cookies to all the non-Windows users affected by this issue -- they're chocolate chip with a hint of oatmeal.}

Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
well, i'm messed up. I played all 30 days faithfully and when we got to the Bonus Round I thought we were done. I neglected to go back for day 31. Not to mention I never finished the Bonus Round!! Who puts the bonus round out before the game is finished??? I feel pretty dumb.

Well, you aren't the only one. I did the same thing

Us poor Unix-system users don't get any love- they already have a bunch of Windows-only games (Shenkuu river rush and anything that uses that 3D life plugin). We should ask TNT to send us vista machines
Bah, fie, and a pox on thee, TNT. (this is kinda catchy

Trust me, you don't want Vista. XP professional, maybe, but not Vista. You're far better off with Unix.eilu wrote:We should ask TNT to send us vista machines

My sister's new laptop came with it. I don't like it, but she hasn't had any problems with it. Actually, I hate XP too...lol
So do you think the Roothless compatablility issue is why they said "Eventually" on the front page banner?
