It makes no difference whether they care about the show or not, in fact, that's sort of the point. If they cared about it they wouldn't be doing it in the first place (that's a given). It's a bunch of children playing "Look What I Can Do!", that's all it is. You'll get that in plenty of other things, but it's idiotic regardless of what situation it's done in.
Also, they do care about who is good or not, that's the entire point of the site, to vote those that are the worst. Wouldn't have a basis if they didn't.
Hil wrote:VFTW has little impact on the votes. Tens of millions of votes are tallied, for one. Plus, they supported Sundance, and is he in the top 12? No...
Impact is impact, and a vote is a vote. It doesn't matter if they aren't controlling everything. Sanjaya has a large fanbase (can I even call it that?), and VFTW is boosting him. It's irrelevant how much it's helping him, but it is.

As far as the final two, I can't make any significant guesses, there's a chance that Melinda won't even get there. Not everyone actually votes on talent, so you could end up seeing something similar to last year. Heck we could get another Taylor Hicks, who ends up getting through on grasping the crowd as opposed to having one of the better voices.

But he seriously should go home, but as long as I have him on speed dial, he's staying.
*shoots you... every time you press the speed dial for Sanjaya*
Blah blah, predictable elimination, blah blah.
Maybe I'll survive those shots, after all I only voted twice
But they are seriously ruining the fun on the show. It used to be about who was the best, now it is who America likes. Whether that be Sanjaya, or anyone else. It's turning more into a popularity contest than a talent competition.
I always thought Blake (I think) uses his beatboxing more than his singing. But he isn't too bad at singing.
I have no predictions though since I haven't watched it except for the numbers I should dial

I'm still amazed by his "mohawk", personally.

I don't know. xD It used to be amusing to see him singing awkwardly, but I think it's getting old.
I predict he will be voted out on the day he doesn't pick a new hairstyle.

Then he'll be going to the top. D: He's got:
Corn rows
Pigtails
Braids
Putting his hair in a bun
Double mohawk (:o)
Afro (just you wait)
"Emo" hairstyle
The list goes on. That would mean he can last forever.
I bet he'll shave his head at the finale.
(an no, I don't really think he'll get nearly that far.

I actually thought Sanjaya was a good singer until he got into the top 24 - from that point on he didn't seem to really put as much effort into it. I don't think he should win but he was good at one point.
