The plotline is the 'A simple mission goes horribly wrong and main character finds/receives new power in the face of adversary' plot. General Naruto type fluff.

Those simple missions go wrong gets tired after a while.

I've only read the first five volumes of Naruto, but it's pretty fun. My anime club is cosplaying as the cast for a con in January, and I'm going as Temari because I'm a fan of her voice actress x)

Series with Kakashi? Sounds pretty cool. He's pretty much my favorite character, so I'll have to check it out^^

Anybody still watching Naruto (the Japanese version)? It's been quite a while since the last comment here.. Probably because of the endless boring fillers..

Anywayz, it looks like they've finally come to an end! Last Thursday they showed a double episode feature (ep 221-222) of the new series/season/saga (I don't know what they call it), well in a short recap: Naruto left the village with Jiraiya to train for about 2,5 years in preperation of the Atsakugi.

(skip 2,5 years)

Naruto has finally come back to Konoha village, and it looks like he (and the other kids) have grown a bit taller. So, back to the main story again!

The character change is a bit getting used to, but I kinda like it. It shows progress . I like the new opening and ending theme's, too, and they even have new background music as well. I like all of it!

Yep, I watched it last night. I'm not too crazy for either the opening theme or the closing theme (I forget which one). I wonder how long it's going to take the anime to catch up with the manga now... going by how many chapters are per episode, it seem like even with the flood of fillers we've had for who knows how long, it doesn't seem like that long of a jump...

Anyways, is anybody besides myself keeping up with the manga as of late? I'm currently in love with Tobi. Oh, and doesn't it seem interesting that his mask covers all of his face but his right eye, and his name is verrry close to Obito's?

It's about retaining the true essence of the story. About leaving it in its full and uncut volume. A censor cvers up what is wanted to be said...it's important to remain true to the creation, no matter how much the viewer won't understand it. it will force them to learn at least. He returned to us at the turn of the tide.
