I bought something like 200 Snowball Bean Bags last year.

Didn't get the sidebar.

Maybe it's selling an advent item? My mom buys and resells advent items and she got the sidebar so i'm convinced it has to have something to do with that.

btw, the "hint" TNT gave us about "having to meet certain requirements" is totally weak because you have to meet certain requirements for ALL secret avatars even if the requirement is just clicking on a link.

Seriously, does it even do anything special? If not, then why would it be so hard to get? o.o

It's not selling any Advert items, as I didn't do that last year. I traded them, but that wasn't until January.

And to answer Machiito's question: No, the winter sidebar doesn't do anything special. It's just pretty, and something different than the blinding yellow.

I'll try to keep offering any ideas of what I did to unlock the sidebar.

I know that I don't remember doing much, if anything with snowballs. There's a possibility that I could have had one in my inventory, either from the snowager or the healing springs, but no one sent me one or anything like that.

I know I snagged some off the money tree prior to getting the sidebar, but I can't remember if I actually bought any. It's possible, though; I was saving for the packrat avvie at the time and, well, most of those items are dirt cheap.

As for snowballs: I never went out and bought one, nor did I send any to friends (though I may have donated a few to the MT to clear out my inventory). All of my snowballs were (are) received from REs in Terror Mountain and the occasional Snow Faerie Quest.

Not all of them. Some are completely random events(like Sloth and the Tooth Faerie). At least they told us it wasn't just random who got the sidebar.

Its possible that I had one or 2 in my inventory, its also possible that I donated some snowballs to the money tree. That being said, its hard to remenber exactly

what about the pets have to be bloated/delighted when claiming the advent calendar prize ?

I try to always keep my pets both delighted and bloated, so that could be a possibility.

You could say the requirement for random avatars is just to be surfing the site or refresh at a certain page.

Anyway, I made a list of things to do before I visit the advent calendar on the 31st. One of them has to be the right thing. Hopefully.

Of course. I know I posted this at some point but I will post again for ya. And obviously none of these are confirmed but I'm just covering all the bases.

-have a Christmas petpet attached
-have advent items in inventory, deposit box, neohome, and gallery
-have "let it snow" avatar equipped
-visit calendar through terror mountain
-watch all animations in full
-have snowballs and snowflakes equipped
-have snowballs and snowflakes in inventory, stock, and gallery
-buy some advent items
-sell some advent items
-donate advent items
-play winter/snow/terror mountain themed games
-have a cheerful pet

I'll probably add to this list as time goes on. One of, or the combination of these are bound to be the right thing!!
