I am almost postive that this *isn't* a plot. Sections of the site that have Jake on it have been up for MONTHS...I believe it is (was) solely promotional, meant to pitch their then-new Islandberry Crunch cereal to us (in the US). The game was also meant to pitch their new cereal. Just the fact that this thing has been around FOREVER should hint that it's not a "new" plot.

I still wish they gave out that free cereal tho

I don't know wether nor not this is actually a plot, but I hope it is.

What I wanted to bring up is that people seem to think that Jake wwas created for the cereal, however he is and always has been the mascot for the gadsgads game, which was out long before the cereal.

A new plot will start and it last for a while. In short it will be a long plot.

LDP took exactly 2 months to get prizes out, it hasn't been one yet.

lol...my hopes are certainly not up I just keep Altador in mind when a prize-release date is announced...it would be unusual for prizes to be released this shortly after the plot is over...

*ponders the long length of the Atador Mini-Plot and the long wait for lame prizes afterwards*

Here is the answer you've been waiting for regarding Jake, guys. From this week's Neopian Times Editorial:

I was eating some Islandberry Crunch the other day (it totally rox my sox, by the way) and I saw the web address for neopets.com/jake. Then, this morning I was reading Neopets The Official Magazine and saw it again, so I logged on and took a look. I found a comic that looked like a plot, but usually some sort of notice goes up on the new features before a new plot, so what exactly is this comic for? ~mergirl294
That's just a continuation of the comic that was printed on the back of the Neopets Magazine. The URL we printed along with it was so that you could log on to the site and see the rest of it. It's not a new plot or anything like that. It's just Jake on one of his many adventures!

I'm glad that puts that to rest. I knew it couldn't be a plot.. they wouldn't do a plot like that, just put the url on a cereal box or whatever and not announce it in the news. Besides, things happen in that comic.... meaning things get resolved, he beats the bad guys and finds the treasure or whatever, with out our involvement, see what I'm saying?

But you can never know for sure with TNT, they do weird things. So it's good they set it straight for us.

I'm glad it's not a plot, I don't want a new plot so soon. I hope we get a long break before the next plot. Well, not too long, but ya know, just a decent amount of time.

Haha, agreed. It's been a straight run of plots pretty much this whole year - I know that I need a break, and I'm sure a lot of people, especially TNT need a break also!

I would love to be training my pet for the battledome, but dubloons are so expensive right now...and codestones would be just as expensive after adding everything up...possibly more-so...

Dubloons are definitely expensive right now. :cry:

Who knows if the prices are going to go down but... in the event of a war or some sort of battledome the prices will only rise I imagine. So I've been slowly training at a course or two per day. I know it's not much but it is something. Plus knocking out some training now will prepare you in case a war/battledome event happens on neopets. I'm working my way up to the strength/defense boost at 55 right now. That would've helped during the ToW plot but at least I'm preparing for whatever might be next. The mayor was gone in 2-3 days and the rest of the challengers came and went so training then was already too late.

You could always lab a pet and equip him/her with weapons that would work well with his/her stats too. If you already have the lab map it won't cost you a thing. Otherwise I suppose that's 600-700k well spent on training.

yeah its definitely not a plot. It's like the Buzz comic. I'm hoping for a new plot soon but this is not it:(

Im glad in a way though, I dont like this Jake character very much.
