Well, the symbol was a constant before the tablet was finished, at least ... even after understanding.

I highly doubt they'd do that. They've already done something almost exactly like that with an earlier plot. They aren't known to reuse things for their plots (with the exception of Hubert's Hotdog Stand).

I can ee them reusing about anything. Even the parrot. They reused the beach a ton too.

Nope, right to left. I learned that from Diane Duane's The Book of Night with Moon . Such a great book... it ranks right up there with Garth Nix's Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen trilogy.
