Ha--I think TNT got a bit confused on their form neomails. I got two of them today saying that my 9999 scores at Make Some Noise had been reviewed and accepted...and that I had been awarded 1000 neopoints.

(Regrettably, the confusion apparently didn't extend to actually awarding the neopoints.)

I just got home and did the math with the info in front of me, and I was off...by a bit. I'm not as far through level 9 as I thought I was...and I had one of the numbers wrong. I hafta do 99.2222222 games a day to get to the bottom gold rank. Drat it...I don't think I can pull that with work and all. Oh well, I'll do the best I can. Maybe I'll just end up with a pretty silver? <shrugs and wanders off to play YYB>

And I just got a neomail saying my score had been accepted, and I think I *did* get the NPs. I'm not sure where else the 1k would've come from.

I got the neomails too. It's a bit odd how they send them; I've had MUCH higher scores than my 5k (approx.) score which they "reviewed" and awarded 1000 fictional np. Made me curious how they review them - and pick the ones to be reviewed.

hey, i've been hanging around in the gift shop and grabbing random stuff.. to my dismay, i have yet to see anything krawk island.. however, i have roo island and faerieland pompoms (edit: and shenkuu and altador) that i would be more than willing to trade with someone for krawk island pompoms. otherwise i'm going to wait a couple of weeks and sell them. =]

Oh my. I decided to see how my team was doing on the Neoboard. Yes, I know it was stupid. However, I can't get over the sheer amount of hate being slathered all over the place there. Rampant accusations of cheating. Repeated mean-spirited taunting. Trash-talking... the list can go on and on. This is actually like a real sports match now -- complete with nasty fan-boys and fan-girls.

Sorry, for venting here, I was just shocked to see such... animosity... caused by an event that is supposed to be fun.

Heh. I'm not surprised. I don't go over there very often, but every once in a while go and look at the Rooligans board, which (at least when I've been there) has been tame compared to what you're seeing.

I kinda feel bad for sending so many scores against Faerieland yesterday, since their team seems to lack support. Unless they beat us, they've lost (not drawn, lost) every round so far on YYB. At the same time though, getting to Rank 10 was kinda cool. (minor gloat ) I don't like the yellow gem in the bronze shield, though, it's kinda ugly. I'm beginning to think my chances at a gold are much slimmer than I thought earlier. If we go to finals, I have a much bigger shot at it, though. I wonder how long finals will last? I hope it's longer than just one day, especially if it's the day immediately following the last day of the round robin. I guess we'll find out when we get there!

Definitely looking forward to the results of today's games, though! Darigan vs Krawk, and Roo vs Lost Desert(the first people we drew against, too) will both be RATHER fierce competitions, I think! I kinda hope Darigan and Krawk draw....it'll certainly make the game much more interesting!

I really don't care much for yooyooball, it is time consuming. The other 2 games are much more fun but it's not going to make a difference because my team, Brightvale, sucks! Oh well.

What a shame that an event like the Altador Cup - a competition, purely for fun and in which cheating probably isn't even POSSIBLE - has become a focus for all this hate. But then, with no disrespect meant to the younger posters here, many of the Neoboards users are kids - with playground politics and all the nastiness that goes with that. Having said that, there are some adults who also need reminding of the meaning of the word 'sportsmanship'.

Shenkuu has REALLY pulled its socks up over the course of the champs. In honesty, I wasn't expecting it to do well at all, and to see the way it's clawed up the rankings - very impressed!
