Today we're playing Maraqua. They're one point behind us in the current bracket (assuming equal weight for all the games, not factoring in bonuses), so it's kind of a make-or-break moment for Tyrannia.

Considering their MSN score went back into the implausible-without-illicit-help range again yesterday, we've really got to bust it. (I don't even want to talk about Brightvale's scores... If they pull those kinds of shenanigan numbers in the finals for even a single day, and TNT doesn't nerf them the next day, we've got no chance of beating them even if we do better than them over the remaining days of the bracket... I wish TNT could figure out a way to retroactively remove all scores from those accounts from the days they were sent, and then readjust the scores back a day or two to accurately reflect the efforts of the legit players...)

I've missed a total of 3 days now. This leaves me with the ability to miss one more day maxing out SOSD, or I won't have a shot at making All-Star on SOSD only. I've played some SS, but not enough to cover another missed day yet. As the last 3 days of play are when I have yet more company coming to visit, whether or not I'll make it to All-Star is debatable, though I may come close.

I'm currently Rank 14, so I've at least met my goal of getting out of the ugly bronze shields and into the nicer looking silver ones.

I managed to get in 10 SS games yesterday, so I hope that was helpful!

Have I mentioned that the mindlessness of it is actually pretty soothing with all that's going on? It's like a sanity break. Ironic, because in some of the early years playing crazy amounts, I wondered if I would lose my sanity from the repetition. Ah, how things change...
In all seriousness, though, it doesn't take too long to blast through 401 SOSD games, and if I can time things right, all 3 kids are napping at the same time. Quiet + mindlessness = wonderful. Especially when Mr. P takes the two older kids with him to buy a string trimmer, and Baby P is asleep.

Wow, the two teams with the biggest cheater groups are already just about shut out of the finals bracket, no matter how they do in this bracket. I'm not going to celebrate until the results are final, especially considering how topsy-turvy the brackets are right now (VP and KD above MI and KL? KI in 4th? AL beating TY and BV? very strange... but it's super early, too), but the highest the better-performing one can do is 53 total points (assuming they got first in their bracket).

No word about the smaller cheating contingency on BV yet; they're currently low in their (our) bracket, but they often start low and shoot to the top, so who knows? Nothing I can do about it but play my hardest this bracket.
