Never liked Sesame Street. Barney was my teacher :D

I almost forgot all about Are you Afraid of the Dark? until now! -Savors nostalgia- I wish they'd bring it back...I've forgotten most of the episodes, sadly.
Ren and Stimpy was great...a little on the crude side for little kids, but they still shouldn't have cancilled it!
Rocko ruled. Too bad it doesn't come on much anymore.
Invader Zim, like Ren and Stimpy, was a bit crude...but there's no denying it was funny! -Contemplates buying the DVDs-
The ORIGINAL All That was good, along with Kenan and Kel. Now All That is just...dumb. And I don't think they even show Kenan and Kel any more.

Looking back on it, I certainly watched a lot of Nickelodeon when I was a kid. My favorite show overall was Space Cases (cough...points to username...cough), even though it only lasted for one-and-a-half seasons.

My favorite Nicktoon was Rocko's Modern Life (Laundry day is a very dangerous day!), and I also liked Rugrats, Doug, Ahhh...Real Monsters, and the Angry Beavers. I think I was in Kindergarten or first grade back in the days when Rugrats, Doug, and Ren & Stimpy were the only Nicktoons.

Out of the other shows, I liked Clarissa Explains it All, Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, and some episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark.

These days, I do like to watch Spongebob Squarepants occasionally, but that's about it.

!

Thank you! I was thinking about that show the other day, and I had not a clue what it was called.

I have one thing to say:
We are no longer in the age of good cartoons.

Really, the old cartoons were good. I started watching when all these shows were winding down. I liked the old All That and Doug. All That was really funny back then(the new shows are awfull) and Doug was...I don't know, just... I don't know, good.

Are you afraid of the dark? Rules! I don't get Nickelodeon, but I used to, and sometimes still do watch it on the Family Channel, and YTV. However, if you ask me YTV's shows have kinda gone down hill, they played way cooler shows when I was younger than they do now.

oh man. nickelodeon in the old days ruled.
pinwheel was my SHOW. they need to come out on DVD! "pinwheel pinwheel spinning around, look at my pinwheel and see what i found..."

was danger mouse on nick, or another channel? that was another staple of my childhood.

anybody remember a 'toon about this little orphan boy and his big white dog? i could have sworn it was called "belle and sebastian." somebody please help me confirm this.

oh snap, the memories. is there a website anywhere dedicated to old school nick? there should be.

the only two nickelodeon shows i bother with now are hey arnold! (the greatest show EVER) and spongebob. spongebob is pretty brilliant compared to the rest of the nicktoons.

I feel really old. My friends and I started to lament the downfall of Nick during the second season of All That and I don't even know remember seeing commercials for Shelby Woo. The only thing that got me watching Nick again was Invader Zim, but Nick went and messed that up too.

Shows I remember watching when I was little:
Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show (we sang the "I Love you Song" for Kindergarten graduation)
David the Gnome (I just went and looked it up on imdb, did anyone realize that it was originally Spanish?)
Double Dare (even got to see it taped live when it came to my town)

Slightly older:
Round House
Hey Dude!
Clarissa Explains It All
Ah! Real Monsters
Legends of the Hidden Temple
early Doug and Rugrats

I LOVE Clarissa Explains It All! I used to watch it when it was on the N. Too bad now they don't even air it. They need a TV station that airs everything that Nick has. Although, I think they have one for the Nicktoons called Nicktoons TV. Although they air the newer stuff as well.

Mellissa Joan Hart - pre Sabrina in Clarrisa... that was such a great show!

Uh... the Jetsons?

Oh yeah, and a classic, although still going I believe... Johnny Bravo

I don't know if it was Nickelodeon, but the old Hannah Barbara stuff rocked... Wacky Races, Stop the Pigeon (Sniggers like Muttley) with their repeating backgrounds when they were running or driving, you would see the same tree like 20 times.
