Actually, the anniversary of that was the day before yesterday. It went down right before Neo's birthday last year and stayed down for a few days after that. When it came back up, the TP was glitched. And, wasn't made unaccessible for several days after that. So, people kept using it and kept losing anything that they put on it. I lost about 200K, but would have lost a lot more if fellow PPTers hadn't warned us of problems. It was a sad time for many, many Neopians--some people lost multi-millions due to the glitch.

Maybe, that's why Neo went out of its way this year to have such fun on its birthday.

My guess is that they added too many things without getting all of the bugs out of them first. I lost a few items to a glitch on Sunday when a random event hit me at the same time I was using quickstock. So, maybe they decided too many glitches were happening.

Personally, I'd rather have the site down completely while they are fixing problems. There has been many a time that I have lost a item to a glitch because they were monkeying with it while it was online.

Maybe increasing the RE's for the day and because of the bar was just a ploy for them to find more glitches? They could be going through all the bug reports today, and trying to fix some.

Only this one. Well and also one last semester... It is kinda hard not to do something productive when I'm being taught how to use MS Word and Powerpoint (last semester) and SPSS (Statistical Prgram for the Social Sciences). In both of these classes I have been able to demonstrate a more indepth understanding of computers than my professors (earlier this semester I showed this professor how to do a PntScn! :lol: )

Pity we don't have internet at school... or I would have been able to go online while my prf showed the class how to insert numbers in excel (click on a cell with the left mouse button, type the number on the keyboard, press enter)
