The ray produces a giant flash of light, but Pumpkin doesn't look any different. When it can't even climb the Multi-level Scratching Post you bought it, you realize that malfunctioning lab ray actually decreased its level to: 6

Congrats ^__^ You can find an avatar guide for those you get from owning or aging a petpet here on PPC, and I'm sure there are other guides elsewhere too :)
