Hold on, didn't look close enough. You have 13 notches, you want 15. Take out two rocks and then count how many notches you have. You want to put your rocks in gears that keep the right side open 4, 5, and 6 notches.

Your not far enough round to the right you only have two of the floor pieces.. try a combination of 4,5 & 6 you will find one that only moves 3 and that ain't no use..
GAHHHH, I am either stupid or it's just my Macintosh. I can only tab on the Altador index page. I can't tab in any of the archive rooms. I've tried Safari and Firefox. Is anyone else having this problem???? And can anyone tell me which bookshelf the book is on? maybe if it's in the same place for everyone, it won't take me 10 minutes to go through each room.
What do you mean with the 3x15 thing and stuff. You mean you have to click a door three times in one direction, and then 15 times in the other? That's madness!
Try using avant browser, go to the room you want to search, right click, select open all links on page. Then click select all and go. Which basically tries every single book. (And a whole lot of other stuff from that page).

Thats the room you are in. And it's like finding the mepets, but much more complicated. And yes, it is madness. Maybe everyone in Altador is mad, or maybe the plumber designed more than just the water plant.

I don't know if the solutions the forum gave are for IE plus Firefox or just Firefox or just IE or whatever...
but either that or Neopets' being really glitchy. First I go to the Observatory and there's NO looking-option; I just leave the place and voila I see the hole. And then I go to the quarry and after obtaining my first rock WITH real 50np my money is still there; but after I find out there's no link for the center and I left and came back my 50np is gone. But up till now there STILL isn't any clickable link for me to click the centre of the quarry AND there's no rock with me either ..? o.o

Look for the 'arcx=#&arcy=#' in the url (# = a number- you need to go beyond the first room to see this). You can just type in different numbers there.
Finally I'm with the group found my spell book. Right Then I'm up for check spells now. Yeehaa slap my toosh and call me rodger!!!!
(9,9) book 9 was where my spell book was..
