Advantages:

Makes it look like people are staying on the Neopets site for longer periods of time and "clicking" around the site more often (one of those statistics web-people love to quote) ... This gives Neopets better statistics to give to advertisers so TNT can make more money on their ads.

Makes people forget about the crappy war prizes and gets them thinking about something else.

Disadvantages:

Due to a coding error ... when holiday sidebar is active, it makes it impossible to get any sidebar permanently (including the holiday sidebar) *just a joke* :)

The blue font on the blue background makes it practically impossible to tell how many Neopoints you actually have without squinting.

Makes you completely forget about your life and turns you into a drone of the Neopets army.

I'm really hoping there is actually something to "figure out." If it is actually just a silly random event, I'll be very disappointed. I'm trying to win Snow Wars again, to see if that does anything. Hoping that also gives me a few random events as well, just in case, but I haven't had a single one yet. I'm on level 7.

I can see it too!!! I can see it from the balcony, floating in the air, maybe I should jump.

If I look outside it's raning and grey.
I'll never see the sidebar outside because I live in Florida :lol:

I DID live in PA last year, so I saw it quite enough :P

My sidebar is melting outside.... it's 40 degrees here in Minnesota in february (it's suppose to be -10 out) sigh

but about the side bar, maybe TNT left some clue in the wording of the news?

I love the blumaroo with his little hood and jacket. I think they should redraw the christmas blumaroo to look like that. I think all the candy striped christmas pets are kind of outdated.

You'd think they'd take a screenshot of actually getting the notice that says you've unlocked the sidebar, not some odd picture of their preferences. :roll:
