I like your theory, it certainly is worth trying.

Have you done much testing? Have you compiled any results? I'd hate to start recreating your wheel.

- TNT would not make one special potion drastically more difficult than the other two.

- Testing your theory, even if its wrong, will rule out more combinations, and at this juncture, that can't hurt anyway!

Just got back from work.
Um.. I'm on stage four, and i'm stuck at my third composition!
Could anyone lend a little advice? It would be greatly appriciated.
I tried working it out last night.. and it ended up with me having to do the gravity goop stuff, and the essence all over again.. *sigh*

Composite #3:

Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +70 +/- 2
Relevant property: Divination
Target value: +102 +/- 2

I'm stuck on step two composite two.

Composite #2:

Quantity: 25 grams
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +82 +/- 5

I have 82 for my first ingredient, but my other 2 will only go up to 78. My third is 10g and I don't know whether I have to split it to make the 25g correct, but if I do, the value will be halved as well. I don't know what do. Please help? Advice?

I have a theory based on what hydruxo suggested.

For Ice Plasma, you need 1g of Nova Essence, plus Bumroot and Sharpgrass in any quantity (to total 9g). You have to perform an action on the Nova Essence (doesn't matter which, or for how long) and then just combine the other two (no action necessary). (Yes, I have tested it!)

It must be something similar for the other two (surely!!)

I think that the Platnimum Mist will be Madvine Root and the Psionic Singularity will be Bronze Sasam.
This needs checking though.

3g Wool, burned until it reaches 280 for all except Power.
3g Berries, Soaked until it reaches 128 for Divination
Add 3g of two other ingredients with nothing done to them.

I've just had a quick rethink. The Sasam was around in the last part, wasn't it? If so, it probably isn't the main ingredient in either of these.

I keep failing on the Root though

It lights up and then nothing.

I have a question on the 4th part....if my Composite is as follows:

Composite #2-

Special: Spectral Essence
Quantity: 23 grams
Relative Property: Conjuring
Target Value: +275 +/- 1

I only have to look at the "Conjuring" propert, correct? None of the other values for the other properties matter, right??

Yep. The others can be any value at all. Try to get 275 if you can. 276 tends to fail.

It's actually really easy to test.... You can be trying out any combination for any other theory and all i need from people is just the ingredients used the number of positive/negative values.

Thank you, Starry! So if it's so sensitive, on my third composite, it says +104 +/- 2, and I got 105. Do you think this is alright or should I discard it and redo it to get 104 exactly?

K, so you are compiling the results... what have you got so far and are you keeping a list somewhere?

That one should be ok because it's +/-2 and you're only 1 off.
