I am also having the same problem with the gray bar going across and me not being able to talk to the chef. I tried standing directly across from him but that didn't work. Any other suggestions? Is there something you need to do before going to see him?

you have to have been covered in scarabs form reading the correct propecy to ur nuria statue, then stand across form him n scroll down to see a click button that says alk to him
