I guess I get to be the one that breaks this here.

Really interesting what we can prove nowadays, even if it is a promotional stunt. The logic behind the answer is very simple, but the best part has to be the ultimate tag team of a 'geneticist, philosopher and chicken farmer'. With a team like that, you could rule the world.

Awful. Truly afwul. The name I mean.

I've always known the egg came first, because if it hadn't then that would mean that a chicken one day just suddenly appeared out of thin air, and since that is highly improbable, it's not likely to have happened.

Wow, interesting!

My favorite quote has to be...

"If a kangaroo laid an egg from which an ostrich hatched, that would surely be an ostrich egg, not a kangaroo egg."

Ah, that just cracks me up that Disney invoked scientific principle debate in order to promote a movie. I'm not one of those Disney-haters that says "Oh, I hate them, they've gone so low this time," because I honestly don't care. I just think it's hilarious. :D

I tell everyone its the frikkin egg for years, but does anyone listen to me >.<

:P

Ah well, atleast anyone who paid attention knew the truth.
So me then.

Edit:
For the record, and just because I like saying it.

The egg came first, whatever laid it was not quite a Chicken, due to Evolutionary drift.
So nyeh.

Makes sense, really. I mean, a chicken needs to be born from an egg. Unless somehow the first chicken got born from some sort of mammal and therefore didn't get born in an egg. We can only guess as to what happened back then because of course, there weren't any books or records back then ;)

I totally disagree

1) This article assumes evolution. I'd toss it out the window now if it wasn't on my computer.
2) If a chicken lays an egg, its a chicken egg. If a duck lays an egg, its a duck egg. If a chicken lays an egg and a dead chicken comes out, its still a chicken egg, not a dead chicken egg. Thus if a duck lays an egg and a chicken comes out, its still a duck egg.

But then, its comming from CNN, aka Clinton's News Network, so I guess its to be expected :P

I heard this from Chinese Radio xD.

Anyway, not like it solves the debate of whether birds in general or eggs in general developped first.

This article assumes evolution because it is a scientific study and thusfore uses scientific theories. Please don't go there. >>
