I haven't taken the time to read it yet, but just on first glance, your text is extremely hard to read on top of the background you have chosen. I may add more comments later when I have the time to read it.

The text is really hard to read on the background, and I don't know if it's because of the browser I'm using or not, but it's all left aligned, and that looks a little funny. Try maybe making it center aligned, and make the text box a little wider and the font either a different color or change the background. Other than that, it's great :)

I would actually suggest changing the background instead of changing the text color.

Is it the purple text thats hard to read?

No text is going to be readable on that background unfortunately. I haven't read it yet, mostly because it hurt my eyes to even try :( I'm sure it's lovely though.
