You don't NEED anything, just try duel lost desert daggers, and a lot of patience. Took me hours to do. :)

You should also equip Fire Snow and perhaps an Immense Rubber Axe of Doom. My pet fought with these two weapons and won within I think two hours at the most. But keep in mind you may not receive the trophy the first time. There's a glitch, but I received it the second time I fought him.

My suggestion would be to not worry too much about the weapons you're using (many of the others' suggestions were good). When you start the battle save the URL of the page (it'll be a URL with lots of number or letters or something) and then you can occassionally stop fighting him and take a bit of a break returning later to the URL you saved (it makes it seem a lot less tedious). Just be careful that you do not go to the Battledome Status page while you're still in the process of beating Bob as it will withdraw you resulting in a loss of all your work up to that point.

That glitch is an evil piece of beeeeeeep. -.- Not only did I not get the trophy (and discouraged from ever trying for it again), my pet was stuck in battle for 3 weeks without anyway of canceling it and I had to wait til TNT could un-stuck it. ;.; Not to put anyone off or anything *cough*

But basically you need patience, maybe a good book and some lollies. xD Weapons aren't that important as long as you have the other stuff. :P

I beta him with a lot of kacheek smiling and even more kacheek pebble Lobbers.

Although, as others have said I don't think anyone would recommend fighting Bob right now, as the trophy seems to be quite glitchy and I'm sure you wouldn't want to waste all that time for nothing.

Excellent advice, thank you- I was in with him for 45 minutes, not making much headway, so i quit, got me some spiders and in under 10 min I was back where I was before making excellent headway to the trophy...those babys aren't too expensive either- I'll probably keep them as part of my set after this..thanks!

Equip 2x 6-icon weapons, and 6x Sticky Snowball, and just always Bezerk attack - or fierce attack if you haven't got that yet.

The faerie ability "Drain Life" can be VERY useful when fighting Punchbag Bob, although it is only one use per battle. :(
