I have been joining avatar simons in the neoboards and come across with this girl saying she would like me to have her coconut jubjub for a day so that I can have an avatar for that. Even if I am not used to transfers, I was confident I was going to get it.

I was about to get rid of my Jetsam with an old enough gruslen for the avatar. So I asked if she wanted the pet, and she said she wanted it. I asked if it is okay to detach the petpet since she has the gruslen avatar already, she said if it is okay for me if she'll just send a replacement gruslen. So I agreed.

Then I placed the jetsam in the pound and it was intercepted. Luckily the one who adopted my jetsam is kind enough to give the pet to the girl I promised the jetsam, too. In the end, the jetsam went to the correct destination.

But what happened now is that the girl with my jetsam seems to keep ignoring my last 2 neomails about the replacement gruslen. She just stopped. I am still giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she is offline and all, but this cases make me sad and be inclined not to trust anyone anymore.

Oh, and I didn't get the jubjub. She said it was intercepted. I said it is ok, and I still wanted my jetsam for her.

Her last neomail, though, was strange. She keeps on saying for me to keep the gruslen. And I haven't received a gruslen. That was plain weird.

Anyway, I just hope she is offline, though there is evidence she just went online because she was able to adopt the jetsam. I don't want to keep on neomailing her, she might report me for harassing her.

I just want to hear what your take is on this issue. It is just 50,000 nps gone to me. I just feel bad not about the nps but the situation.

I am terribly sorry to hear this.... I hate hearing of people who take advantage of nice people... What is your username on neopets? I want to send you comething... You can PM it to me if you want.

If you don't hear from her and/or get your Jetsam back in one or two weks, report her before she does that to anyone else.

But no, I don't want items or whatever, I am just saddened by the situation. It was really weird she last said to keep the Gruslen since I am left with nothing (since I haven't gotten the coco jubjub avatar). And she didn't send it.

I have until weekend until I can prove if she ripped me off or what.

Edit: I don't want the Jetsam back, I am really going to get rid of it. It is just sad she ignores me after that. I don't want to report her, clearly she just seemed to break her promise.

Did you have the name of the Jubjub? If you did have a look the pet up if the account looks like its hers (eg, same name) you know she's one of those greedy untrustworthy people - report her and move on (even if you don't really want the Jetsam back she deserves to be reported for being so deceitful).

Sorry to hear about that though, the same thing happened to me too (minus the Gruslen part) and I lost a Grey Grarrl.

I can't remember the Coco Jubjub's name since it has a lot of numbers in the end. But I saw it in her lookup over the weekend.

Hmmm... keep and eye on her account sometime after midnight then to see if she does any pet transferring eg, moving your Jetsam or the Coconut jubjub or whatever.

That's what I'd do anyways - I watch them like a hawk until they mess-up and either give me the evidence that they scammed me themselves or the time passes to such a great degree that they must have scammed or I would have heard back from them I'm strange!

Yeah, I am on the lookout for her account. Maybe it was just a channel to send out pets or whatever, or maybe an avatar guildie passing pets to members.

Toy, I have a feeling you got taken for your Jetsam, that the other person wanted one. If I were you I would not expect to see that jubjub in the pound or receive the gruslen.

Unfortunately, there's not alot you actually can do about this. It says on the front of the pound that it's not to be used for transfers, so basically your putting your Jetsam in the pound meant that you were abandoning it. That the person who intercepted was nice enough to help you both out is amazing. That's a person you want to talk to, not the original person from the av board.

People will lie, cheat and steal to get something they want but don't want to pay for themselves -- in this case it sounds like someone wanted a Jetsam, probably for the av. And got a gruslen that they can remove and sell. I am so sorry this happened to you.

It was just weird because she doesn't want it just for the avvy, I saw her with the Chomp and Gruslen avatars.

And by the way, it is not just a Jetsam, it is a Shadow one.

I think I was used. I looked her up again and now, the jetsam isn't in her account anymore, it is in some newbies account now. Argh. I felt frustrated. It was evidence enough that she is ignoring my neomails, she went online and all. It was just sad.

you should have suspected when she asked you not to remove the gruslen. well, just treat it as a lesson and don't trade pets next time.

I am not trading pets per se, I just want her to get the Jetsam. Only that I was saddened it was being passed around now.

But I must recognize that it was my fault. I waited for 100 days, and the only one who deserves to get the avatar is me.

It was just amazing that the person who intercepted it and all actually helped put things into places. Oh well. Kudos to her.

I don't know, I have a pretty handful of lucky things that happened to me today, I even adopted a random unpainted pet to my surprise was carrying a very nice painted petpet. And no one claimed. LOL. makes up for the lost Gruslen.

Cr*p. 2 years of neo and I fell for it. Oh well. I can always buy a new Gruslen for my shop. Even 10 of them. LOL.
