Does anybody else remember the Pumpkin Patch game in the Haunted Woods and NeoDJ? I never own at those games because I never read the instructions. :P

I wasn't very good at the Pumpkin Patch game. I didn't play NeoDJ much either. I did play the costume game (which I don't see in the graveyard yet), but that was because my girls liked it. :)

The first day that I joined neopets on my extremely old account was the exact day that the gold nimmo was released.

I am kinda on the brink of being an oldie... is a year old enough to be considered an oldie?

I joined, messed around some and then became really active (read addicted) right before the last Meridell war (not the one that just happened). I of course had no idea of what was going on :P I didn't go to the chats for months, kind of just found my way around on my own. I did join a guild and that was a huge help, as it was a very good guild (the owner has since quit and we have different one).

I think my oldest account is about 2 years old now. I wasn't around for theme parks (they sound like they were so much fun!) and some of the other things, but I can say in the 2 years I've been a member I've seen many changes. Mostly not good changes. I've seen such an increase in the prominance of merchandise, sponsors, "stuff" that has nothing to do with the site itself. Plushies, tcg, glophone, cell phone games, pocket games, figurines, etc. all just seem to be alot more important than the actual site and of course, the players. The people who have been there, and for whatever insane reason, stay.

There didn't used to be all these glitches, downtimes, maintenance, freezings, warnings. There used to be better support, you could email abuse and sometimes staff directly with questions, problems, scams, etc. and get a real response. Now you write in and if you're lucky you get an obscure auto-response, sometimes having nothing to do with what you wrote in about or being completely wrong information.

It seems the only people on the site who get any consideration, get things looked into, get their items/np back from glitches/hackings/scams are the "famous" players. The rest of us just don't seem to count except as page hits to show sponsors.

I think we all understand that as the site grows there is a need for sponsors, merchandise, and that things will happen (to err is human -- to really mess things up requires a computer). But I also think we, as supporters of the site deserve better treatment than we've been getting. I feel really bad for some of the new people on the site. They must be so confused!

I think I joined right after they were taken away. If not, I know they weren't around long after I joined.

I've been on Neopets 50 months. I remember when I first got on neopets Kacheeks were still Badeeks and Shoyrus didn't even exist yet. The Buzz was a Flyeye, etc. There were NO paintbrushes, petpets, worlds, battledome, neohomes, guilds (at least in the sense we have them now). Bitten apples cost 1 or two np. Food was always in stock, there wasn't any need to "restock" because there was always food there. You could get two or three faeries per stocking for 90 np each and when you sold them for 200 np you were proud because of the profit. There were few flash games, and badeek seek (kacheek seek) was the main way to make np. There were limited shopkeepers you could use. There were fewer shops. WHen I first got on neopets there was no bakery, chocolate factory, etc. Quests hadn't come out yet, but when they did you could do as many as you wanted. There was no training.

I think those were probably when I was happiest on neopets. Lately it just seem like the bad things (bad for me) are out numbering the good. :(

I remember when I first joined they had that list of the last 100 people to log in. My favourite game at that time was switch-a-roo, I got heaps of NP from that. Theme Parks were awesome, I spent a lot of time there. It used to be so much fun :(
