Is there a way to inactivate it on specific boards? I mean we can stop posts adding to the post count on specific boards...?

It depends on how the particular hack is coded. I do not think there is an option with this one, but I'm not a coder, so I could be wrong.

If there is not a way atm, we can try to contact the author of the code and ask if it can be implemented in a future update.
