Anthro pets are the devil?
Personally, I wouldn't be all that excited by a samurai p/b, but then again, I'm not vehemently opposed to it either. In my opinion, though, it's really no more nationalistic than having Royal clothes resembling Western European fashions.

I'm pretty sure people want a samurai pet because of rouni Kenshin. In any event I'm against having a humanized pet. People would ask for ninja, cowboy,viking, native american, and more style of pets. Something I wouldn't want.

I'm against the idea of the Samurai Paint Brush/Oriental because people of an Asian background may feel as if Neopets isn't demonstrating their culture/heritage well enough.
As we can see, it's hard for Neopets to pull away from a basic trend in a Paint Brush (Ex. Pirate- Patch over eye, red shirt, wooden legs and Halloween- Devil, Vampire, Werewolf) As you can see those are the basic stereotypes of what the Paint Brush should paint. It's hard for Neopets to change the style for a Pirate Pet but they have nonetheless. Same with Halloween.
But if they keep creating Ninja's and Samurai's for the Oriental Paint Brush, people on Neopets (Mostly younger kids) feel as if that's all the culture is about. Simply about Ninja's and Samurai's.
And calling it 'Samurai Paint Brush' is too blunt and narrow. That would mean every pet would be a Samurai, knowing TNT, in the same style. Which would get very boring.

If NeoPets decided to do a new Paint Brush, I'd like to see something to do with astronauts/space. It would go nicely with the the new Neopian Moon. It would be a simple draw with maybe a space helmet, space suit, etc. Something like they did on the Aisha and Zafara plushies.

everyone here has some excelent points, so this could be a long post....(prehaps, we'll have to see....)
first off, i have to say that i personally love the idea of a Samurai pb, as i have always like that sort of thing, and the concept is quite nice. *starts daydreaming about samuria neopets*
however, prehaps the idea should be broadend to somthing larger, such as a warrior pb instead. That way, it's not strictly an Asian style pb, also, can you imagine some of the pets in samurai armour and such? (Jubjubs, eyries, Koi's....basic armour and a small sword would work better in the long run, instead of the full samurai garb. )
of course, with a brush like that, we'd have people calmouring for ton's of other pb's, and it could get pretty ridiculas. but even so, i still like the idea of a warrior pb.

Honestly though, is there anyone Asian here who would be offended by a Samurai Brush? It's not like neopets would be poking fun at the culture. There's a Christmas Paintbrush and not everyone on the site is Christian.
I think it would be a really cool idea to explore other cultures and let our neopets dress up in outfits customary to other cultures. Very "It's a Small World" -esque.

Well, as long as they didn't make the pets have slanted eyes and such, I don't see too much of a problem with it. 'Hate Anime, but a Samurai paint brush could be interesting if done right.

Why can't we put the clothes to our pet? You know the one we buy from the clotes shop? This question has been bugging me for over 4 years.
Lol, it doesn't make sense to me...although maybe it's because TNT would have to draw a picture of ever neopets dressed in every different article of clothing...I guess it's too much trouble.
