A ? for People whos account got frozen in the April glitch

Did you ever get your account back?And if so how many times did you have to send the form in before getting a response?Not to mention,was there anything left?Like items.
I have sent it 3 times now.One the minute I found out,the second about the end of May and the third today.I'm not sure if I should send them more often or what I should do now.

it's a good thing that nobody knows me, or my account would have gotten frozen too.

I don't know how anybody knew me over that either and knew how much NP I had.Cause I never told anybody about that and if you looked at my stuff I looked totally poor lol.

Good and bad news, 2 of my friends got hit, one got his account back within 2 weeks, but he didn't get his things back. He sent a form almost everyday when they didn't get back to him).

My other friend is still iced...for harrasment...the hacker must have taken it for a joyride through the chat boards

bubbabubba, I am SO sorry you somehow got caught in that mess. Scream, same for your friends and for anyone affected.

Most the really "famous" players got frozen by TNT to protect their accounts. Most of them got the accounts back - and everything in them, including their pets. Not all though, to be honest.

The rest of the people affected seem to fall into Scream's 2 categories:

got their accounts back but got empty accounts, lost pets, etc. and never got anything back; or

are still! fighting, trying to get their accounts back and of those it seems the majority had someone in them, as Scream aptly put it, taking the account for "joyride" going on the boards saying awful things, trying to run scams, etc. That makes it even harder to get the account back, because then it's not necessarily frozen for falling for a scam, but for scamming or profanity, something that normally will not get an account back

Anyone who got hit during that glitch should get their accounts back, intact. Period. If some of the big players' accounts could be somehow logged and backed up so they got their stuff back so should everyone else, right?

Bubba, keep writing. Don't wait a month in between. You did nothing wrong. I don't know what reason you were given for the freezing, but the fact that this was TNT's security glitch should be taken into consideration.

Ya somebody took my account for a joyride on the neoboards too.Supposedly I was using inappropriate language.And ya confused I agree.If they can get back items for their accounts why can't they for others of us?And although I'm very annoyed with the loss of so many neopoints I really just want my pets back.

Exactly what was this glitch? All I heard was that it was a really bad one, but I'm not sure what glitched.

i wasn't playing neopets much in April and only knew of this security glitch many months later when i came back to playing neopets actively again and heard about it from the forums. from what i heard, my vague impression of the security glitch was that somehow our passwords could be easily obtained by a simple action, causing many players to lose their accounts.

i think the april one was when people could log into other people accounts because if you put a username into the request for password box, the password and email of the person would come up, and so alot of really good galleries and high profile people got hacked.

a friend who got frozen a few weeks ago in another glitch thing, still hasn't heard a peep out of anyone from support, even though shes mailed them heaps of times, i've got a feeling they are really behind in addressing all the frozen accounts

Do you mean the glitch where you could create really good usernames?

Ya the one where somebody could type your username in the lost password box and get your password was the big April one.

no it was the one where the shops went a bit funny and she was browsing and got frozen for doing something like cheating, but she wouldn't her accounts to precious to her) and didn't, its been like a month now, i forget details.

im not bluffing, but i was rather known in the TC board, i got frozen, it only took me 1-2 forms and 3 days to get my account, nps, items, pets and petpets back, everything was ok, i also got a reply by a neopets moderator saying they did everything they could to get my password back and apologized for the glitch!

I think its better if you create another account for storing so that they cant steal much from your main account.
