i am sure all you restockers out there mst be feeling frustrated whenevere you missed a restock or something good. the most common reasons cited for missing an item are autobuyers, lagging and miscoded/mishaggled...

i have a few to add myself which i think cause more frustration than any other reasons:

difficult codes:

the code letters are spread over the keyboard like "Z7L", "B1Z" or confusing ones like "GCG"...instead of easier codes like "LLL" or "CDF"
i suspect that i miss many item because some others have easier codes than mine

the mouse:

i wonder if anyone of you face the following problem with the optical mouse. sometimes, the optical mouse has a tendency to "jump" suddenly and it is very frustrating when you are haggling as you have to re-focus the pointer...

page freezing:

yep..i tried out many adware/spyware remover and still my IE tends to freeze sometimes..so that i have to set it to work offline and refreshing again and sometimes it happens right in the middle of a haggle :x

i wonder if any of you has similar or different reasons whenever you miss a restock?

I share some of your sentiments, but what I hate is buying rarity 86-89 items in the Choco/bakery. They are just plain worthless.

I rarely restock, though. I find it boring at times.

The biggest problem I have is the code sometimes shows a cached version, so that I have to type a random code (typically something like "sad" or something else really fast to type) to refresh the page.

Does this happen to anyone using IE or is it a problem specific to the browser I'm using (Mozilla Firefox).

If you right-click and then select "show picture" it should refresh the code without you having to refresh the whole page. I use IE though, so I don't know if you'll have that option in your browser.

I hate the codes with a letter, then number, then letter, becuase you have to switch between keyboards. (I use the numberpad for numbers.)

It is Firefox that is the problem, firefox does that to most people.

Firefox doesn't have that option (One of it's downfalls). I guess I'll use IE for restocking.

Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, and I think that may actually be firefox's only downside.

Try using Mozilla instead. It's the same browser, but seems to load images all the time. I only use Firefox over Mozilla for the memory footprint.

let me add 2 more things

1st when you go the the haggle screen and you see an X code so you have to refresh again by the time which the item is sold.

2nd is when you haggle and buy the item and enter the code, only to find the shopkeeper asking for more nps on the next page.

I think the codes are a pain mixing numbers with the key board seem to slow me down I can type, or keypuch, but it's a pain mixing them some are hard to read so you have to do it a couple of times anyway

Auto buyers, although it was already mentioned they need to be mentioned again lol. but codes that are blurry and you can't tell what the letters are. I mean 'G' looks like 'C' and 'L' looks like '1'

ahh...yes...those...can't do anything abt the first one (especially frustrating too :x )...for the 2nd one, if you overbid it should be ok.

it is also very hard to restock in daytime neopia where the server gets a bit laggy and i keep missing stuff more than usual

I hate restocking. I hate it.
I always lose money, or when I find something worth, someone buy it before me.

Not a big restocking fan the Vale? LOl, cool sigg btw, I used to ADORE trolls.

I hate restocking. I hated it before the coes and I hate it now. It's stupid, and it makes my hands shake and I get confused and have to lie down for a short while in a dark room.
