Last double post. The Jetsam has a new owner again, this time, the guild leader of the original girl I wanted the jetsam to be. Argh.

Don't mind me, I just fret a lot.

Edit: I neomailed the guild leader and kindly asked if she could tell the girl to reply to me. And she replied back and said she will as soon as she catch her online.

Toy, don't feel too bad about being caught off guard. Unfortunately, sometimes the people who seem the nicest are the ones who are the nastiest. Personally, I would never ever trust anyone I didn't know for quite a while.

I know how it feels. Someone took my Faerie Queen Doll in a lend. I had a low colleteral and he took advantage of it

I just had to add that I just got "snookered" too by someone who was just dripping with sweetness.

I had a just-released plushie in my shop for 60K--it had been sitting there for 2 days but was the lowest on the shop wiz. This girl wrote and asked if she could please, please have it for 50K. I was being nice (I had bought it for 20K) so I said 55K, which she agreed to. I then put it in my trades for her.

She then gave me this sob story about how she only has 51270, so could she have it for 51K. I almost said no way--deal's a deal, but wanted to get rid of the plushie before the price dropped and she seemed nice and all, so agreed to 51,000. She then writes that she sees another on the shop wiz for 45,000 so she wants mine for 40,000. I said no deal, took the plushie out of my trades, and quickly bought the other plushie for 45K.

She then wrote back saying someone else had bought the 45,000 one (me!, which I didn't tell her) and I was being so nice and all, could she please have mine for 51,000.

So, stupid idiot me, I agree. After all, now I have two plushies. I wouldn't have bought the one for 45,000 if she hadn't told me about it. I know that I can probably turn around and sell it for 60K in the few days. But don't want to risk having two of them because the price was going down quickly.

We do the trade and I ask her what she plans to do with the plushie. And, get this, she says she is going to let her pets play with it and then sell it. Right there I know that I was had.

But talk about luck! Within minutes, I sell the second plushie for 64K. So, I actually came out with 10K more than I would have if she hadn't written me--because if she hadn't told me about that second plushie, I would have never bought it.

I then check the shop wiz and, sure enough, she put hers up for sale for 99,999. Best of luck to her. It is a rarity 90, so the price will drop really quickly, and there are about 15 others on the market right now for 65,000--75,000. If she isn't smart enough to cut her price, she probably won't even get the 51K she paid for it!

I will never, ever will fall for that one again. Wonder if its the same girl?

I have a nice development, though. She neomailed me now and she said she was so sorry because neomail was not working. She said she sent it, but I have a feeling she mistyped my username in the "send" box. She asked to double check, and if it is gone, she will replace it agaain. She asked for a few days to earn nps again to buy a gruslen, she said she is low in NPs at the moment. I felt a bit guilty for asking the item, but I said I can wait.

Hopefully this would evnd well. She even asked me to join the guild she is in.

Edit: Update, she gave me back a gruslen. It turned out she cannot really neomail then. I am so happy it turned out okay.

Neopia needs more people like that. That's a truly kind thing for her to do, especially since the Neopets rules allow for her to keep the pet since she paid for it.

It worked out fine, I got the Gruslen back.

What happened was she seem to mistyped my username when she sent the first gruslen. And Neomail was messed up that time.

I definately can feel for you! I was taken advantage of more than once. First was with my battledome pet usaki_2001 who had a gruslen attatched to it. it was intercepted and when I went to see who had it, they had taken the gruslen off of her! Last I checked she was with another owner and had cricky neck The first owner I tried to offer 50k for her safe return but never got a response.(by the was she's just a green kau) the new owner can't recieve neomails. it's very fustrating. So I just went ahead and adopted another pet, but if she ever switches owners again, I'll definately try to buy her back!

Second time happened yesterday. I let someone by the username of freddygotfingered100 use my FQD for less colateral than I normally ask for and he took it! My being nice days are officially over!

What was the Jetsam's name? I know this problem is solved already, but I'm interested.

Anyway, it's solved. Yeah, that intercepter was kidnd though Some are good, who snatch them from the TRULY evil intercepters.
