I kept my (fore/middle/ring) fingers on the middle 3 numbers and slid them up and down, keeping the hand angled so that I'd more likely hit the correct keys. You actually have enough time to glance down and see that you're on the right key before striking (at least on the early rounds, which are all you need to get the required score). Make sure you have your "number pad" properly configured (although it wouldn't let me start the game until I turned numlock on).
I used to play this game a lot until I switched to the laptop, but I'd actually rotate my keyboard for the later rounds -- that doesn't work so well now!
Another option I used was to change the set-up to lettered keys -- worked for me.

No luck with the high score challenge yet...

I am HOPELESS at Chia Bomber. I can't even get 150!

Me neither!
Then I read a tip from one of PPT's game guides. Stay in your corner, and surround yourself with mines. Shoot only from the safety of that corner.
Worked wonders for me.

Easily got me through the first two rounds, and that is all you need.

Reset the keys (there's a command to do that in the game, IIRC). There's a post with a recommended keystroke layout for the game a few pages back in this thread.

I feel your pain! I had to play that game on a laptop earlier. It might help to stick pieces of tape on the letter keys so you can feel them without having to look down. My main problem was ending up off a letter, and hitting the wrong key, either one that didn't do anything, or the next one over, losing a life...
Anyway, once you do that, just keep your fingers on 'hjk' (I think those are the letters) and move them up and down to hit the others as needed.
I am probably the only person who does this, but while I keep my right hand's index, middle, and ring fingers on HJK and move them up for YUI, I put my left hand ring, middle, and index fingers on BNM. ^.^ It makes more sense to my body, because bringing my right index finger down from H would typically end up with me pressing the N instead of the B. ^.^; Hopefully that helps, if someone else is also having a problem with that aspect.

AHA! Top scores solved!
Not only do you have to view 20 High Score tables, but you also have to click the #1 user on each list. I did that and finally got the prize unlocked. Woot!
Prize:
EDIT: Maybe that's what "Set Your Sights On The Best" meant?

It appears to be fixed as I viewed all games between 200m Peanut Dash and Frumball (in a new window each time) and somehow got it.
I didn't click on the #1 user on each list.

Yeah, there's a small debate (on Neoboards, of course...) going on so I tried both ways.
So I did it both ways...viewed 20 first, checked challenges and still didn't have it counted. Went back and clicked top users, and got it. So...maybe they fixed it in the two minutes it took me between tries? Hehe.

I feel bad for all these first place people. They're going to get SO many NMs.

I just opened the high-score tables for the 1st 20 qualifying games that had tables (each in a new tab in FF so that I could click the first person if necessary). Once I had opened the tables, the challenge was complete. There's no need to click on all the names.

Hmm, I opened them all, and it still didn't work. I opened 21, just to make sure.

Did you remember to refresh on the challenges page? I only ask because the refresh didn't work for me the first time (I hit F4 instead of F5)...

Nope, that didn't work either.
