same here ... glitch all day on Sunday ... Monday just lead me to the FAQ
so the problem does not lay on our end, but rather on their end .... they dropped the ball
hopefully in a day or two (maybe a few weeks) they will offer us some sort of token that can't be sold, traded, shown or even seen ...
I for one am egg-cited at the possibility of getting a present that I can't do anything with

Anybody notice the whole Springtime Celebration thing is gone from Neopets now? I had a link bookmarked and now I get the dreaded ERROR Page 404.
What's going on? Not even a 'thanks for participating, hope you had fun'? I haven't gotten a single reply regarding the glitches yesterday, it's like this was all a weird dream and it never really happened.

Grrrr...
*sulking*

How disappointing

I was looking forward to seeing what the bonus prize was. I am once again highly underwhelmed, TNT.

Today's news says:
Due to some problems on Sunday not everyone got their regular prize or the bonus prizes from Rosie at the Springtime Celebration page. These items will be granted to those who qualified very soon.
Yeah, assuming their script to grant them works better than their Rosie code. Even if it does, it doesn't change the fact that they've botched the event pretty badly.

I agree that this one was botched pretty badly. There were not that many total days for the event, and there were two days that prizes couldn't be obtained. Worst of all, one of them was the final day that the bonus prize was to be given if you collected every day.
I guess its wait and see, eh TNT?

I'll be surprised if the issuing of missed prizes goes off without a hitch. I'll also be thoroughly mad if I get gypped out of my last two prizes :/ If they couldn't get it right before (and I'm assuming there had to be SOME kind of planning on their part) how can I expect them to get it done correctly this time? I guess it's a waiting game now...

So many complaints. It was a free event. I'm sure they were dissapointed at the glitch as much as everyone else. And we hardly 'participated', we just clicked and got free stuff. I'm sure we'll get our little finale gift in the end.
Also something tells me it was "botched" as ye so delightfully put it because the gift was linked to the NC Mall. Which appears to have trouble from time to time when giving out free NC.
I think the site should have 24 hours downtime with;
"Sorry neopets is down. Not for maintenance, just to shut you lot up ya whiny little crabs!!" ;-)

Well... that's the idea... IT WAS FREE for something that usually costs CASH MONEY. There are lots of kids/teens not old enough to have a job yet and otherwise have to beg their parents for money to buy the NC cash cards or have their parents buy those cards. This site started as a kid's site, but adults got into it and excited about the safe environment as well being pretty fun! I being one of those parents myself! I've been on Neopets for over 5 years now... my son is almost 15 now, he discovered this site through some friends of his when he was 9. He gets a very small allowance to work with, so anything to be bought comes from me, in general.
There's nothing wrong with some of us being disappointed or feeling let down by the various glitches - be it games, plots, or especially the NC Mall! And I'm also a paying Premium member, so that makes it even more aggravating! What the heck am I paying for every month if the only thing I get out of it is an advertising free website? It's kind of nice getting a chance to NOT have to pay for something - even if it is minimal.
I can understand the site's problems with the probable overload of 'participants' - especially for those in other countries that otherwise don't have access yet to get the cards or want to sign up with PayPal. Not everyone has a credit card - believe it or not.
The biggest gripe I have is the
almost avoidance of TNT giving us an apology and explanation for the situation.

Neopets wasn't originally a kids site, it was created for bored college students trying to avoid writing papers and studying. Just FYI. I hope that whatever the bonus is, it's something that I won't want anyway, because I was out of state visiting family and my husband forgot to collect the prize for me one day. His computer died. Unfortunately it was also the day of the neocash giveaway. Stink.

I have to agree with Virtual Metal on this one -- at least it's a point-and-click daily activity, which they've never had before, so if we don't get 1 or 2 of the prizes, we still come out ahead of where we have other years. And at least this time they did address it. Really, that's pretty good for TNT. I'm still waiting for my 2008 Daily Dare MegaSuperb prize, for which I spent well over 100 hours March 2008 to earn... and TNT completely ignores all my bug requests, help boards, and editorial questions. In my last editorial question, I begged them to even give me a "Sorry, we're just not gonna fix that..." just to show they read and actually care -- and so I know to give up.
So for TNT, the way they're handling this Rosie thing is pretty good -- maybe even a bit ridiculous that they're spending time explaining themselves for this when they've got bigger problems to fix.

True. We are whining about not getting free stuff.
Also true that TNT has handled the first glitch much better than other things, like the 2008 Daily Dare MegaSuperb prize issue Siniri has been fighting.
But remember, PPT is proudly recognized for whining in TNT's homage:
"This lovely pink poogle moans about banner ads and frozen accounts when you squeeze it! :P"

got this in a neomail from TNT
Thank you for participating in our Springtime Celebration event! Unfortunately, there were a few glitches along the way. One of these problems resulted in users not receiving their Sunday 4/12 prizes. We have since resolved the issue and added Sunday's prize,
, to your Inventory.
Due to Sunday's glitch, some users did not receive their bonus prize. We are currently working to award the bonus prize to those who qualify and hope to grant this very soon. We apologise for any inconvenience these glitches may have caused you.
Regards,
The Neopets Team

Glad to see TNT making good. I didn't get a NeoMail (yet), but will be happy to see if I get one someday.
Thanks!

I haven't gotten the note from TNT either, I hope it's not because I didn't send in a bug report and was left out because of that!
Mon Apr 20, 2009 4:10 am
I sent bug reports, I visited Rosie knowing there was a glitch - so that it would register the visit, at least. The only reply I've gotten is something along the lines of 'TNT is aware of the problem. We are working to fix the problem and award the missing prizes along with the bonus prize if you qualify.'
I'm waiting for a neomail at this point, too. You're not alone. It shouldn't matter if you sent a bug report or not.
