*takes deep breath and tries to catch her breath* *pants from excessive typing*

It's Day 2 for me, and I've hit 5200+ words already. That's about 10% of my novel done.

On another note to others: Keep working at it! ^_^ *waves pom poms*

Meh, I haven't broken 1000 yet. Stupid schoolwork. >_<
Oh well, at least I'm having fun. And congratulations! Sounds like you're doing great.

Other writers: mind if I ask what your novel is about? I'll give a synopsis of mine sometime when I have more than 5 minutes to be online.

Same here, yesterday was a bad day to start, 'cause I have stuff going on all day long on Monday. And today I'm gonna go volunteer at the polls and I also have a monthly meeting thing at 6:00.. so.. I'm going to make about as much progress today as I did yesterday - if that. I wrote about 600 words yetserday, and that was okay with me, seeing as I only worked at it for about an hour.

As for a synopsis - mine's about the crazy intergalactic journey of Chloe Spetova, her buddy Bryson Oddwind and an alien she breaks out of prison named Dave (who has no last name! :o) LOL. I figure a spoofish space journey is the easiest way to write a 50,000 word novel, because there's really no way you can say you "can't think of anymore ideas." 'Cause virtually anything can happen and there's no possibility of it not fitting the storyline. XD

My novel is set in a fantasy world which I've created. =) That means magic, powers, swords, and lots of fighting. It's about a group of teenagers studying in an elite boarding school. I can write lots about it. ^_^

I'm never gonna finish. My nephew feels it necessary to come up to me every 15 mintues "What are you doing, Erin? Are you almost done, Erin? Can I play on the computer yet, Erin? Can I read what you're typing, Erin?"

*screams*
I just now reached my 10,000 word mark. I'm never going to make it.

Well...it's getting to be too adult to say here. I posted a bit what it's gonna be like in my lj, but no one reads my lj so I don't have to worry about anyone critisizing my work, which is good.

*waves her pompoms at Erin* There's still plenty of time, go go go!! You can do it!

--------------------------------------------

I've hit the 25K mark by the first week. Now I've got about 31K words and it's only the eleventh day. ^_^

10,000? I haven't even reached 2000. But that's because I've had to go out of town for two days, was at school almost the entire day for another two days, and am going to be gone all day tomorrow and next Thursday, and come Thanksgiving, I will be in Missouri for five days with zero computer access. Bad timing. Very bad timing. :F

I'm just not used to writing so much. I've only written poetry before, and the few short stories I have written were no more than 3 pages long. Even though I write, this area is somewhat new to me.

Kudos to you for trying something new. It doesn't matter how many words you write, you rock for even trying. ^_^

Good luck to everyone who's writing, I'm sure they'll all be fantastic, whether or not you guys reach your goal.

Any chance of sharing your stories when they're finished? ;)

I know someone over at Subeta that signed up two days ago. Maybe you and her will each hit this writing streak and finish before I do :)

Almost 47 K of words now! Am trying to finish by tonight! ^_^ Wish me luck.

EDIT: FINISHED! Woot! I know it's one day later than I expected, but still! ^_^
