I agree with to rif the effect. Moreover if I visit neoboards, sometime just computer become tardyly, and that very bothering me. I add, normal letter have positive value, that is easy to to be read, and not hard for look.

aside from some of the truly bizarre color combos/huge glow that makes things unreadable, I can only hope that this will mean an end to all those "someone please make me a font" and "you stole my font!" (honest I've seen them) boards.

Yes, I can't believe they did this! It's so freaking awesome!

I hate size 30 glowy shadow font in red and blue and yellow and other horrible colours I can't read, and especiallywhen they have emoticons that make it sparkle, its just so stupid and annoying.

You can still customize your font with a lot of colours and stuff, I do it all the time on MSN and AIM!

If you don't like it, get over it....Because you won't have a greater chance of having a seizure anymore!!

That is until you actually are able to read the boards. Honestly, do we want to read begging boards? Or those that are impossible to read but that not being due to the font?

Personally, I like the fact that they removed the glows.. Even though I used to use one, back when the neoboards weren't such a freeze magnet. It's hard to believe that they *gasp* went with the minority on this! (yes, I use Mozilla.. got sick of my IE getting hijacked even after running two spyware removes and an anti-virus)

sorry, i'm just excited that neopets did this... it's gonna get rid of most of the dumb people on the avatar board, i'm not sure about the other boards, dont go to them much, but this means that the stupid siggy pets are gonna hit big


edit-- i'm not calling all the font people dumb, just some of those weirdos out there.

I sent in a comlaint about a week ago, saying that the glow and shadow in my font did not show up correctlly on mozilla firefox, and wondering if there was a way to make it work for those brosers. Removing them was not what I had in mind.

Awesome, finally, now I can actually read the neoboards. And for those of you who hate this, just remember, shadows and glows don't make you really special or look absolutely amazing, they are the ones that can get your posts ignored and get other people annoyed bacause its impossibe to see some of the glows fonts.

Aw, my font was pretty (in my humble opinion). I'm not too upset about it though. If anything its worth it to watch people in the neoboards complain. I hated telling people "I can't read your font" and them replying "i dont care wut u think".

You and me both. People probably thought I was crazy when they asked about they're font and I said they shouldn't use invisible.. of course people already think I'm crazy anyways.

I'm personally happy about this. I might actually be able to read on the neoboards now.. wait I don't care what 3/4 of the people there say.

Now if they would just get rid of invisible fonts. What's the point of posting if you don't want people to read what you're saying?

I was on the Neoboards earlier convincing/trying to convince people that this is a change for the good.

Let's see if the reports they probably all sent are listened to.

The day I finally make a font that matches my avatar, oh well. I saw a board entitled, "LETS REPORT TNT!!!", and the message read, "LETS ALL REPORT THENEOPETSTEAM FOR GETTING RID OF FONTD! I JUST REPORTED THEM TONS OF TIMES.WHOS WITH ME?!". Poor TNT

I for one, however, appluad TNT's actions. This will eliminate annoying fonts and make for easier viewing for Mozilla users.

How many accounts do we see getting frozen for filing false reports? Kind of stupid if you ask me. My goodness, what are these people thinking?!

Well, I just visited the help board on Neopets.. and can't say that the banning of two types of fonts have stopped too many idiots from posting. Oh, goody, I could actually read the chainletter I just reported.

Seems that the Suggestion/Ideas boards are nothing but spam after all. Now, I'm wondering why Neopets took away the glow and shadow fonts. I might have been better off not knowing how many pointless posts there are there!

Well, I rarely post on the neo chat boards, because the board monitors are, for the most part, morons (or at least used to be) *. But I quit reading it on a regular basis a long time ago because the text effects made most posts hard to read, and gave me a headache.

I'm glad they removed the glow and shadow.

* I got my account froze once because of something that I didn't do involving the chat boards, and ended up reporting the Neo Monitor who responded, because they copped an attitude when I tried to explain that I had been warning people about a glitch with the Auctions that was causing people to lose NP and not get the items they bid on. (They unfroze my account, but called me a liar and threatened to re-freeze me, when all I was trying to do was tell them about a bug - best I can figure, I used a word that got flagged, and no one had the sense to check my post before hitting the freeze switch) As a result, I only post in trades or answer questions where I can answer without risking using a word that will get flagged.

P.S. I noticed a while back that the Neo Monitor I dealt with is still a player, but no longer a Neo Monitor. Somehow, I'm not surprised....
