darigan, yes, had a foster pet (eyrie) turn darigan. Royal? I don't know, I don't think so though. I thought baby was a no. Ghost isn't supposed to be, but I have a ghost ixi from the ray (could not give her up for adoption - she's too cute!)

I've never had Baby, Plushie, Royal, or Pirate paints. Have had lots of Ghost paints tho.

i'm pretty sure about baby even though i haven't had it personally (i haven't even had robot and i've had it for over 2 years so no suprises) i dont' think i've heard of anyone getting a royal pet from it but..

seriously, if they made secret lab maps retrievable, think of all the possible abuse it would get. players would be transferring them between multiple accounts to zap their pets. 10 accounts=10 zapped pets per day xD

Jelly can only be got from the lab ray, actually, along with sponge, MSPP, coconut jubjub, snot and alien aisha.

I can confirm both Darigan and Royal, as my brother has gotten Darigan and numerous friends of mine have gotten Royal. I think Pirate and Ghost are the only two I've never seen. I've never gotten a really good non-lab-specific color, but I have gotten robot twice. (Although both for really boring pets)

I've gotten ghost once and i know someone who has gotten pirate. You can get basically any colour if you're lucky

I can confrim that it gives out Starry, Island and Halloween at least. O.o

I know it gives out Faerie. Poor Hebefred kept getting that color.. but I hated the pet he/she was at the time!

i love my lab map... (this is just putting my blah blah blah) past three days my my cybunny _Sakya_ has been pink (UGH), disco (groovy), and now it changed gender lol... WHY NOT GREY!!!! lol well i'm still crossing my fingers.

Bout ghost. I don't remember her saying that. I know it can do ghost, has done for me a few times.

Never heard of it doing pirate, plushy, or royal though. I need to see a screen grab if anyone claims they have! But they have said a few glitches happened with it from time to time and it did the colours it wasn't supposed to. So maybe thats how? Someone on BDchat had a pet turn krawk then he carried on zapping in hopes it would turn pirate X_X I think we managed to persuade him not to zap it again

Does it often make pets grey? I think I'd want a grey jubjub over anything.

Don't know about often. But it made my yurble grey, 10 mins after they anounced they could be painted grey ^_^

Snarkie, a Neopets programmer, has confirmed on the Neocolours forum that the colors that cannot be obtained from the Lab Ray are Baby, Plushie, Pirate, Royal, Usuki, and Quiguki.

For a while several months back the Lab Ray was doing all colors, but according to Snarkie this was a glitch and has been fixed. IIRC Royal pets were available from the Lab when they were first released, but this has evidently been changed as well.

Doesn't help with the question of whether there are some species the Lab won't do, of course.

My Lab has given me not one, but two Dargian pets, a Dargian Peophin that I love and a Darigan Zafara that I may repaint eventually. I'm zapping my Eyrie for stats, now... maybe third time's a charm?
