Yeah (no pun intended on your set), that was a tough loss. We'll get 'em tomorrow though. Mussina vs. Martinez.

Hopefully we will. If we win today then at least we've gained a game on them in the division. There's still next weekend in Boston though.

The series was a disappointment (understatement!), but we'll get 'em next weekend at Fenway.

Of course, someone is going to take the blame for this.

Do you have a Rangers radio station? I'd be interested to find out just who they're blaming. In Boston, we have WEEI, which is essentially 24/7 Red Sox talk shows with very late night ESPN Radio broadcasts and occasional football rants interspersed. And whenever something goes wrong, guess who they blame? The manager, of course. Everything is Francona's fault.

We have Angry Bill. :D

...sounds like talk about Francona isn't much different in Boston than it was when he was here in Philly. After 2000, I don't think he had a supporter left...hence why he was replaced by Larry Bowa.

You had the players to blame for that, I'm afraid. :P
It was the same with Grady Little, Joe Kerrigan, Jimy Williams, and probably every Boston manager since '18. And when Francona is fired, they'll go after whoever is hired next.

Haha...yeah, the players were to blame, too of course. Speaking of Joe Kerrigan, a lot of people aren't too fond of him as our pitching coach now. Seems like whatever coaches or players we bring to Philly, our pitching is always bad.

Joe Kerrigan... that had to be the biggest mistake ever. Firing Jimmy Williams and replacing him with Kerrigan. We finished just above .500 that year.

And of course we lost tonight, something like 6-4 :( 5 1/2 back now. At least we'll (most lkely) win the Wild Card.

No reason to be ashamed of that, but I don't think either team will reach the WS.

Do you remember the '89 earthquake series?

Eh, Boston won yesterday. We'll see what happens.

On a brighter note, did anyone catch the Mets game? 2 outs, bottom of the ninth, trailing 3-0, and Victor Ruiz hits a 3-run homer to tie it. They win in 11 on a walk-off home run by Craig Brazell. It was his first major league homer, as they had just brought him up from the minors. Great game.

LAQ. Yer my enemy for the rest of this season. >=D
*points to avatar*

How did i not see this thread earlier *thwacks*
In any case, i am really loving this season. The heats that are going on right now is insane its just so enjoyable.

NoCal Vs SoCal. Basically all that's going on right now (with the exception to the wild card in the NL... that's a bigger story!)

ANGELS vs ATHLETICS (+ Texas)
DODGERS vs GIANTS

and in any case, i did get to go to yesterday's Angels game. That was a very fun game (with a lot of tension in the stands... you guys can only imagine the yelling that went around when the As fans cheered when they got the 2RHR equilizer) :P

*points to busy sig*

ScottNak, is that sig automatic, or do you have to change it yourself? It's really cool.
*stares at Sox' magic number* 2.
Did you know that if you look at an outfield of Kapler-Damon-Ramirez from center field, it says 19 18 2(00)4? Be afraid. Be very afraid.
That is, if I remember correctly and Manny is 24. He might be 45. I always get his and Pedro's numbers confused.

Of course i'll upload the pictures myself. Once per day for the last week of the season. I have dedication enough to do that ;).

When all the important games are completed i'll update it as quick as i can. :P Weeeeeha.

Hopefully today's the day my angels finally catch up to those pesky As...

The A's are not pesky! THey rock!
Actually, I don't actually think that either the A's or the Giants will get to the playoffs; you just have to be loyal to your area teams. :) Though, a repeat of '89 (a month before my birthday  ) would be interesting... yeah....
