Ever pay attention to the record labels?

I never look at the Label when buying a CD, I only notice when I see it advertised on TV or when I'm looking at the CD case. :)

Normally, when buying CDs, I pretty much ignore the label. However, if I notice after a while that several CDs I own are from the same one, I might do a bit of research on it.

I look at them, but I don't judge the cd/artist because of the record label. It makes no difference to me.

I pay attention to them. Not so much because I care, but mainly because they reflect which artists are going to be mentioned at the end of any given television show.

I read all the info that comes up at the beginning/end of a video, but the record label info doesn't really process into my brain. I wonder if it's there so aspiring musicians can contact labels who have artists similar to their style...

I only know if I get the CD or if I like the band or song.

Such as The Killers is signed to Island
Dashboard Confessional is signed to Vagrant
I'm pretty sure Incubus is signed to Epic
And Smashing Pumpkins is signed to Virgin
