My parents usually don't do anything but yell when im in trouble. :?

Usually they just do stuff to make me feel bad about what I did...Yelling at me then going out and doing the thing I was complaining about themselves. There isn't anything else I do that deserves punishment. (I've never been grounded in my life)

For making my parents mad (which happens daily) there are other various punishments.

My parents would take things from me like my tv, phone, the lock on my bedroom door. They wouldn't let me go out with friends, so I'd have to sneak out. They'd tell me I wasn't really a part of the family, swear at me, threaten to have my stuff packed ready for me to leave, etc. I'd also get hit.

Yep. That's what happens to me normally. I've been thrown out once or twice too....

I've only been grounded once, and that was when I was five, so I couldn't have bedtime stories for three days. XP

Though when I got my first detention, they didn't let me go online...

I've never been grounded as such..but recently I did something quite bad, and my dad said I wasn't allowed on the internet til August (yet here I am) and he took my mobile off me. I still don't have my mobile back, and this all happened about a month, nearly 2 months ago.

My mom doesn't get mad if I get bad grades, she tells me I have to learn about my misstakes, but if I don't try, or don't learn for the test than she's mad.
But I hate it when my mom isn't mad, but she's "dissapointed". Thats really annoying!

i usually dont get punished i just get yelled at or i get a lecture. Twice they took the computer away from me for a whole month. it was hard but i got through it. but i usually try to do whats right most of the time.

Hmm. I don't think it'd be considered child abuse at the time (things were different socially then). Now it might, but a lot of things are now that weren't then. My dad didn't mean to hurt me a lot. He didn't realize how hard he hit/strong he was, though. What feels hard/soft for an adult is a lot different to a child. It did teach me to be strong and depend on myself. Stuff happens, you move on, you raise children to have a better life.

Mine don't punish-they say that it wastes their energy. Apparantly, they pour that energy into yelling at me extra hard.

I almost never get punished, I don't do anything really bad. But when I do get my parents mad, they turn the internet and TV off.
