I'm sure some of you must have read her books before... they are superb fantasy stories. She is really versatile too, with the Chrestomanci series for those out for an enjoyable and light read, while others like Fire and Hemlock inspires you.

Oh, I love her writing. I think the Chrestomanci series is possibly my favorite, but I also like Dark Lord of Derkholm. Some of her books, though, I didn't understand, like Hexwood. Maybe I need to read it again.

Hi.

Yeah, its the more mature ones like Hexwood, Fire and Hemlock, the Time of the Ghost, which really set you thinking.

I lurve Diana Wynne Jones. <3

My favourite books of hers have to be the Chrestomanci series. I have all of them, aside from 'Mixed Tales (I think that's what it's named).

Wonderful author. Time of the Ghost was really interesting- I read it when I was ten or eleven, and sat thinking philosophically about ghosts for a few hours after finishing it. xP

can't find the sig from this set, so instead, you get a <3 .

I think my favorite books of her's was The Dark Lord of Derkholm and Year of the Griffin. I mean there's griffins in it, come on :D Hexwood really confused me, but it seems to be one of those books you have to read more than once to really get it.

i loved hexwood, its hexwood that go me started on her other series, chrestomanci rocks! :P

my most favorite book of hers is the one i can't remember the title of, but it involves a girl who makes hats, and a sorcerer and a nasty witch.

Oooh, I love her books. The Crestomanci series is one of my favourites.

Another one I just bought which she wrote was The Merlin Conspiracy - I liked it, as it's more mature (along with Hexwood).

Gone, forever.

Must be Howl's Moving Castle or Castle In the Air.

ah yes, it was howls moving castle, thanks for that :)

i forgot about castle in the air, for some reason, i believe its because that was the first book of hers i ever read, and then didn't find another book of hers for 2 years, i don't connect it with the other books shes written or even her, odd of me :P but yes, i liked that book too, anything with cats generally attracts my attention :P

I haven't actually read Castle In The Air. Come to think of it, I've never heard of it o.O

What's it about again?

It's the sequel to Howl's Moving Castle. It is about a floating castle (duh!) and something like that. I've read it a few years ago, so I have forgotten most of it already.

I LOVE Diana Wynne Jones. I love all of the books of hers I've read. I loved Howl's Moving Castle, which is why I simply had to buy the sequal. I also enjoyed Fire and Hemlock which became another one of my favorite books. I also liked Time of the Ghost. :)

Cool! I seldom find people who have read fire and hemlock. That book was so haunting... for some unknown reason it made me feel sad and lonely inside.

Me too. It was one of THOSE books that just hit me. I adore it, but it almost makes me feel... I don't know 'helpless' about whats going to happen in the future...you know?
