Browsers at NeoPets
I am thinking of changing to a Firefox browser. Does anyone here go to NeoPets with a different browser than IE? How about a Firefox browser? Can you restock with them pretty well? Thanks all!

Really, Firefox works best for me. The popup blocker is great, and it is very immune to spyware!
Once you download all the Flash/Shockwave plugins for it, Neo is completely seamless to use. And those downloads are very easy and take like 3 minutes.

Yeah, I find FF MUCH easier to play neopets on.... The pages load alot faster for me, I'm on dial up btw. I've used IE for neopets for 2 years until recently, I must say Firefox is a much better browser to use

I switched to Firefox when the banner ads came -- it was that or drop Neo, so I've been really pleased with how well the Ad Blocker works.
I've had no problem with the Dinner pages, but have had to switch to IE to see the "comic book" plot pages. Maybe someone who's been using Firefox longer can tell me what I need to do to eliminate that last bit of reliance on IE?

I use firefox... The pages load faster, no pop-ups, tabs, and its just cleaner overall.
The only thing is, that when I want to click on a link that opens a new page (example: a flash game), i'd have to wait untill all the images on the page are fully loaded.
Although there could be a way to fix this... Which I don't know of.

i use IE but thats mainly because all my favorites are there, and its what i'm used to. plus its easy to remember how to delete cookies, but opera is my personal favorite, firefox runs extremely slowly for me, so i don't use it except for a gallery account.
i have a popup blocker already, but firefox offers that benifit, which also makes the pages on neopets run alot faster
flash takes too long to load for me
it looks like firefox runs differently for everyone, probably best to test it for yourself.
if you already have a popup blocker, you might also want to consider netscape or mozilla *i like netscape*, i use that alot because it has the tabbable interface and ability to bookmark a group of tabs as well
plus it loads as fast as IE.
i've unfortunately screwed up my opera settings so it doesn't load links on neopets, which is a pain, so i need to re-install it
but it also runs fast, has tabs, although you can't bookmark groups of tabs, and if you learn the keyboard shortcuts they are also really handy

If you see my sanity, get it to give me a call.

When you install Firefox, it should port over your IE favorites, autechre. If not, try reinstalling it.
I much prefer Firefox, not only for Neo but for everything. Security-wise, it's SO much better. It doesn't have those nasty active X controls that allows spyware programs to self-install without your knowlege or consent, and even if it does get hacked or hijacked (which is harder for people to do than with IE), it's not integrated into your operating system like I.E. so it's not as much of a liability.
The google toolbar and popup blocker iare also fantastic. Firefox also has tabbing, but I never use it. BTW, Firefox and Mozilla are the SAME thing.
I.E. really is a piece of garbage. People just use it because they're used to it and because for some stupid reason, people make their websites for it.
