Hmm, so what are your favourite seasonal songs? Can be songs you hear on the radio, old carols, any traditional ones...

I've gotta say, my favourite one (well, at the moment) has gotta be the "White Christmas" rendition by The Jingle Cats. Music video cracks me up every time I see it. Totally cheesy-funny. :P

I also really love Hark The Herald Angels Sing and Oh Come All Ye Faithfull.

Yesh!! There was a mix one a few years ago that I hear twice every winter, but I can never figure out which version it is. I've been dying for it though.
I love Christmas carols. Oh! And "All I Want For Christmas Is You", or whatever the official title is. Been covered by too many people. Lovely song.

Erm, perhaps "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" or "Jingle Bell Rock".

I love "O Holy Night." I have it by at least 5 different artists on my iPod.

I also like "Greensleeves." I can play it on the piano.

I really like "Fantasy on an English Christmas Carol". (I think that's the proper English name), can't think of any others though...

This one song we sang in Chorus last year was CLASSIC.

The first day after Christmas, my true love and I had a fight
And so I chopped the pear tree down and burned it just for spite!
And with a single car-arr-arr-artridge I shot that blasted par-arr-arr-artridge
My true love, my-yy true LOVE, my true love gave to me...

The second day after Christmas I pulled on the old rubber gloves
And very gently wrung the necks of both the turtle doves!
The third day after Christmas, my mother caught the croup.
I had to use the three French hens to make some chicken soup!

The four calling birds were a big mistake, for their language was obscene!
The five golden rings were completely fake, and they turned my fingers green!

The sixth day after Christmas, the six laying geese wouldn't lay!
I sent the whole darn gaggle to the A-S-P-C-A!
The seventh day, what a mess I found!
All seven of the swimming swans had drowned!
My true love, my-yy true LOVE, my true love gave to me...

THEEEEE eighth day after Christmas, before anyone could suspect
I bundled off the
Eight maids a'milking
Nine pipers piping
Ten Ladies dancing
Eleven Lords a'leaping
Twelve drummers drumming
And sent them back COLLECT!!!

I wrote my true love, "We are through, LOVE!" And I said in so many words:
"Furthermore your Christmas gifts are for the
Four calling birds
Three French hens
Two turtle doves
And a partridge in a pear tree-eeee-eeeeee-eeeeeeee!"

I loved that song (The 12 Days After Christmas) -- I remember it being preformed by one of the choral groups in high school

Eleven Lords a'leaping
Twelve drummers drumming (but I kept one of the drummers ;))

My favorite Christmas songs, by specific artists, are Mary, Did You Know by Clay Aiken, Believe by Josh Groban and Angels We Have Heard On High / Hark! The Herald Angels Sing by George Huff. :)

But talking songs in general, I've always liked Joy to the World and Sleigh Ride, which I totally killed on my Mickey Mouse Christmas tape when I was a kid.

I just discovered the song "I Hate Christmas" which I think is really funny, and I also like Good King Wenceslas because it's fun to play on violin. Also Here comes santa claus (in a minor key like in TNBC) and Jolly Old St. Nichloas (Which isn't very jolly sounding at all, which is why I like it).

And if you count any songs from TNBC, especially What Have I Done, definitely.

And, erm... Adeste Fideles is fun to play and annying elsewhere.

God Rest ye Merrye Hippogryffes. Obviously. (Best tune I've heard for a carol, too.)

If the radio plays Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree one more time, I'll smash it in. That should be in the next five minutes.

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.

Favorite song? I'm not sure I can choose one. There's a lot that I like, but none of them stand out. My favorite Christmas CD is John Denver and the Muppets though. ^_^
