I hope they put the squirrel room in it!

Oh I was just about to post about this but I was beat to it!
I loved the original and I always thought they should redo it now that they have such good CGI. I mean, with CGI the factory can be even more delicious looking. The old movie was great for its time, but the candy and stuff had to be made of foam or plastic. Now when I watch the movie it looks kind of fake. Now they can do almost anything you can imagine with the computer graphics. It will be so cool. I loved the book more than the movie, because of all the rooms the book describes. I always wanted one of those candy balloons that you blow up to an enormous size before popping it with a pin and gobbling it up. It always sounded so fun! There was another room in the book, the squirrel room. All the cute little squirrels cracked nuts for Mr. Wonka and they could do it faster and better. They could get a nut out whole instead of in peices. How unsanitary! But cute none the less. I always wanted to go to the squirrel room! I used to dream about going to his factory!

What other movies do you think they should remake?

Here is a list of my favorite kiddie movies as a child:

Never ending story (JUST the original, the sequels were pretty dumb. Well two was ok. I never saw three because it looked way to dorky. )

Labrinth ( David Bowie and muppets and stuff. Well I used to like it at the time )

Legend ( I remember liking this but I kind of forget what it was about. I remember some unicorns and stuff )

The Dark Crystal ( Do they still do muppet movies ?)

Wizard of Oz ( Well they could remake this. I don't know if it would compare to the original. It would be cool, anyway. )

Little Princess ( Pretty recent movie already made )

Secret Garden ( The Hallmark Movie is pretty good. And there is another more recent one that is good ).

Annie ( The original was the best. They remade it for TV and it was pretty good )

Does anyone know the Grims story about the twelve dancing princesses? I've always loved that one, and I have only seen one cartoon version of the story but that was a long time ago.

I get bits and peices of movies sometimes that I think about. I can't remember some of the names of the ones I liked as a kid, but anyway, lots of old movies were good and can be remade again. Sometimes the original is better, but I like to see what they can do now. Sometimes the people who made the original movie aren't satisfied because they could never get it like they saw it in their minds. But now they can do that!

Oh yes..I forgot to say...

Willy Wonka is EVIL..the Oompa loompas are hungry and he just wanted to lure people into the factory to feed them..LOL...

Nooo! They can't remake Labyrinth! Unless they actually have David Bowie in the new one. He's older, but he can still pull it off, because he's just that great XD

*gets chills* I love Labrynth. If they ever remake it I will die. David Bowie was soooo perfect for the role.
Jump magic jump! Dance magic dance! :)

But back on topic...I didn't know the Oompa Loompas weren't really orange in the book. Then again, I read the book so long ago. A detail like that I'd never remember. Huh... o_O

iiiiii think that looks dumb. I rather dont like it when they take old movies and remake them with the latest stars..... like, the *major* stars.... honestly, i bet if they searched harder, they could find a really cool willy wonka. But johnny depp as will wonka? and did you here him say that "chewing gum is really gross and something something something most".... it sounded like he was just saying lines.... i mean, i think he is a great actor, just not.... for this part. uhhh that add was just agitating.

Are you kidding me? :o This movie looks great! When I first saw the movie (the old one) i always thought that willie wonka had his evil side!!! Now that i see Johnny depp, well, i think he looks pretty kawaii!! (cute) I LOVE him acting like that. Excuse me if I have bad taste but i just adore him, with the pale skin and the evil smile... too much for me. Also i love tim burton's films, they give another spin to the stories. I love more the veil than the happy happy joy joy. It's getting into that premiere!!!

By the way, i just took some screen shot. The first scared me when i saw it for the first time, i thought the kid had blood on his shirt.

Plus, this is also an oportunity for little kids to see this movie again, for example we see it as the other willie wonka movie, because we've seen the "original", but ask a 5-7 year old in a few years and some of them will say that this movie(2005) was the "original".

AND, i remember in an interview someone made to depp, asking since when he decided to do more childlish roles, he answered that none of his films were for his children to watch, all of them were like for 13 + and he wanted his kids to watch him in his movies, that is why he made pirates of the caribbean, and that is probably why he accepted this role.

In a Tim Burton film I expect the Oopma Loompas'll kill the people one by one with something rusty, pointy, and metal.

But Roald Dahl's books aren't supposed to be happy.
