Tim and I just started playing. Alex showed it to us. I love the graphics. They're really cute. ^.^ The game reminds me a lot of Ragnarok Online, though, with the character skills and certain ways you play.

One annoying thing about Maple Story is that there are kill stealers everywhere. -.- Hardly anyone seems to understand the concept of "Leave other players' monsters alone." I hate it when I've been beating on something and it's attacking me and a group of other players come over and start whacking on it. How rude. -.-

Most warriors hate mages because they can't get a hit if one is around :P
I play too, my char is TheCowIs1337, lvl25 warrior.

About kill stealing... if you're going to stay at one place, just heal while the other players are KSing. That seems to really annoy them :roll:

And if anyone's interested, a screenshot of my max damage =p

Image

EDIT: I just dealt 411 damage, but I wasn't paying attention, so no screenie :D

only mages can kill steal if they're ice/lit. my wizard (ice/lit) is now level 30 and i applied lightning bolt. it's weak right now probably next level or 2 i'll get it strong.

I meant that warriors can't get a hit because mages and their magic claws are faster than warriors :P

*gasp* A Maple Story thread and I missed it?! *posts*

Yeah, that's one of the many reasons why I played it. ^^;;

I used to play on the very first version, I think .05? But I stopped playing after .08 and I missed reverifying my old account, so I'm stuck with making a new one. ^^;;

Yeah, kill stealers have been getting on my nerves. I have a mage (Shiakako), and they disrespect me because they think I can kill steal because I'm a mage too. But I've gotten over that. :D;; Hackers are really a problem too. When they use their hack, they affect the monsters on the map too, and I just DIE.... So quickly. D:

Thanks for posting about this game...I think it looks like a lot of fun, and I'm downloading it as we speak.

I'm gonna be a thief, since that's what I am in every other game, heh. I just like being different, kind of underdoggish. We'll see!

And I notice the web site is very similar to Ragnarok's. They even copied over Ragnarok's infamous frequent spelling errors, lol. "Out of all thieves, whey use the claw, thich helps them..."

I don't use the "gravity hack", nor intend to, but seeing others using it at pig beach is hilarious. Flying pigs for everyone! xD

i can power level you if you want. get some DEX and Luck and then go to the tree that grew as a beginner. it's at northwest of ellina. get a safe place where you can stay. lemme level first so i can make my lightning bolt get strong.

man! hacks are horrible. i've seen alot of people doing it. when people reported the hackers, the staff members doesn't do anything. i know it's a pain -.-; if things continue like this, it'll become like GunBound.

Yeah, stick to the slime tree until lvl20. Then go to pig beach from lvl20-30, then the dungeon.

About hacks, I specially hate it when there is a flying iron pig around at pig beach... mainly because I can't hit it -_-

you don't stick to the tree that grew just yet. there are training specific areas so i'll tell you where the training places at

level 1-10 (or 8) The Tree that grew: Slimes
level 15-20 Dungeon Southern Forest IV
level 20-30 Dungeon Ant Tunnel I and II

at level 30 you have to find your job instructor after seeing the person who gave you that job. here are some places where you can find your job instructor

Bowman Job Instructor - Between Henseys and sleepywoods
Magician Job Instructor - Between Ellina and Perion (top after you go through portal from the tree that grew)
Warrior Job Instructor - West of Perion (take the north one)
Thief Job Instructor - Kerning City: Construction Site (top, guarded by the octopus)

Meh,I checked to see if someone had it,but noone did when I posted my topic.There is no way to avoid kill stealers,because you'll always have to kill monsters to get through the area.You expect others to wait to get through?Unless they are an assassin,they won't be able to make the jumps over them.
