OMG! I thought Ad0 was the only one who could spontaneously change his race (I know, ooooold joke, but...).

For some reason, these things terrify me *shudder*

They are hornworms. I know them as tomato bugs because they eat our tomato plants in the summer. I used to love gardening, now I practically refuse to touch the tomatos and more recently the peppers. A couple summers ago I went out to pick the peppers and I moved a leaf to get a pepper, when I let go, I realized I had also been touching one of these bugs. Needless to say I screamed bloody murder and refused to go in the garden for the rest of the summer.

Hornworms just creep me out. They're called hornworms because they have this red appendage that they stick out of their head on occasion.

*assumes the fetal position mumbing about tomato bugs*

I never said my fears were rational... I love tarantulas, but I scream like a sissy at the thought of a tomato bug...

I saw one of those once! It had the horns out. I thought it was an oversized caterpillar (being about 5 at the time) and tried to keep my friend's little borther from killing it. He killed it... grr. It was really gross too.

Then I found out the thing was trying to eat their tomatoes...

I'm neutral about them, really. Just really big and gross. (The one I saw was the size of a small cat in length, about two, three inches wide O.O)

The "Vampire Moth" of Southeast Asia is a blood feeder. It can insert its tongue through human skin, and may sip on our blood for up to 60 minutes.
