the only origami I know is how to make stars out of McDonalds straws but I'm going to give this a shot. My friend Angie is good at origami, I might get her to help me.

I did and finished mine, I just used the simple dragon layout, but left out the horns. It took about 25 little triangles, but I made a cool lookign snowager.

 Unfortunatly, I had to use my friend's digi camera so I sent it at his house. No pic to show you guys yet.

My text submission:

Haiku for a Pet Rock

A friend made of stone,
Who never wets the carpet.
Sort of boring though.

To make your own Origami Pet Rock -
Take one (1) standard 8.5 x 11 size piece of printer paper. Using a complex series of twisting and crunching motions, mold it until it is spherical in shape, resembling a Pet Rock! Ta da!

*dies laughing* If I get in, I'm... well, I dunno what I'll do, but it'll be funny. lol

Haha this reminds me of origami boulder. I might actually enter this RC, origami is fun. :)

That texture is usually done by wetting the paper first & folding it after it dries. I really shouldn't have to mention very difficult to fold with. I've done origami for years but don't have the time to work on one this weekend. I guess you guys now have a chance.

I did a Regulation Meridell Crossbow

Image

EDIT: Just for clarifications, no staples, tape, glue, etc, were used. the "string" is held in place by two holes on the sides of the bow

I agree! One glance, and it's uniqueness is apparent. :)
I love origami, and have done tons of it, but only if I have instructions. :P Creating an original piece is beyond my skill, but I'll be sure to check back here to see what you guys are entering. :P

I like it, but it's still a frog guy, and I used tape.

Those other Quiggles looked paper-mache-ish. I don't know if TNT will pass that off as origami.
