I think the point is, he shoudn't have had to stop. Kid shouldn't have crossed the road, it's too easy to blame to driver.
True and would you expect a 7-11 hungry kid just to come crossing the road. Plus, if you're going pretty fast it's hard to stop. Something like that doesn't happen every day. I feel bad for the driver actually. Imagine how bad he/she must feel for hitting someone?

The kid must feel really stupid o.O;;
I certainly would.
It really wasn't a smart thing to do...especially with 8 lanes coming up...

8 lanes? Dang, my parents don't even trust me walking across 2. But who would be stupid enough to do that?
I don't feel sorry for him, that was a really stupid choice he made.

Heh okay I am with everyone else...8 lanes?? Thats just plain stupid.

*has crossed eight lanes... but... I mean... yeah*
Anyways.
That was pretty darn stupid.
Getting hit and all.
Guy in my school in grade 8 jumped off the school roof... onto concrete (grass was nearby!). But apparently he had no choice... (like hanging down and stepping onto the rails... *eyes roll*) because his friends wouldn't help him down.
Shattered his feet and his ankles.
Really great, considering he'd been a track star before that.
