Did anyone catch this after the Simpsons tonight?

It was made by the creators of Family Guy, and quite frankly; it seems like a family guy rip off to me.
I'm not too sure I liked it.
I suppose i'll have to see more episodes to decide... but it seemed... yeah.
I think with Family Guy coming back this year (May! WOO!), American dad won't last.

I watched it and I just didn't think it was all that funny.
I think the only part I really laughed on was the part where they showed the German Skier who had the goldfish brain... and he like flops back into the water or something like that.

The characters weren't really funny, specially when you compare it to Family Guy.

The comedy in American Dad just seemed too forced.

I agree -- the comedy was much too forced. I felt myself thinking back to Family Guy with every scene. Nonetheless, I cracked up every time the alien (Roger, I think?) spoke. My God, he was hilarious. But everyone else was just plain icky -- I especially disliked Stan, the actual main character.

I give it a 3/10.

Definitely a Family Guy ripoff. I think it's kind of like a 'what if the roles of the characters were different' by Seth MacFarlane. It was funny to a certain level, but it wasn't anything compared to Family Guy. 4/10.

The Hilary Duff part was just the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

That was hilarious.

I actually like it. Not as much as "Family Guy" but the alien and the German goldfish were hilarious. And the part where the man said to his wife "Cover up!" and she fell out of the window. Ah, so funny.

But I think the humour was a little forced. Some things were naturally funny but others were forced. I don't think it'll last.

I thought it was crappily made, didnt look as good as family guy does, and isnt near as funny.

I thought it was hilarious, but not nearly as good as Family Guy. I doubt the show will make it past 2 seasons, if it stays around that long.

I only saw the commercial and I didn't think it looked like anything specail to me. Didn't even feel like watching it. Think I'll stick with my Family Guy and stay far, far away from this new show.

It was funny, but I really don't see it lasting much after Famiy Guy comes back.

It didn't make me laugh much...I found it kind of weird. O.o

I just saw this thread. I couldn't stay awake to even watch it. I want to see it. Oh well. I was crying since my eagles lost.
