The Lion King. The Wizard of Oz may be a classic but it can be very annoying. I also love the songs in The Lion King :D

I voted for The Wizard of Oz. I love that one song... XD

"We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz! We here he is a wiz of a wiz if ever a wiz there was! If ever oh ever a wiz there was the Wizard of Oz is one because because because because because becaaaauuuse of all the wonderful things he does! We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz!"

Yay. And I like Somewhere Over the Rainbow a lot too. :P

ohh, man, how can you do this to me? my favorite disney movie versus a staple of my childhood? i just...can't...choose...arg!

*flips a coin*

wizard of oz it is. but not out of any lack of love for the lion king.

EDIT: forgot to add suggestions for future movies:

the star wars trilogy (one by one)
the sound of music
willy wonka and the chocolate factory
mary poppins
the land before time
an american tail
how the grinch stole christmas
charlotte's web
babe
nightmare before christmas
any muppet movie
all dogs go to heaven
the princess bride
any disney animated classic, such as snow white, cinderella, dumbo, etc. you could prolly do several months on disney classics alone. i could go nuts, trying to list them all.

think classic kids movies, since so many people on these forums are pretty young and will have seen them, and the older people will have usually grown up with them.

i think you'd be safe doing the harry potter movies, pirates of the caribbean, and shrek, too.

you might want to also think about:
forrest gump
the godfather movies
the batman movies
casablanca
jaws
it's a wonderful life
singin' in the rain
terminator
grease
gone with the wind

all considered classic, but i'm not sure how many would have been seen by members of this particular forum.

you could put a list of upcoming movies in your first post of every poll and ask people if they've seen most of them.

The Lion King. Definately. I suppose one of the reasons that led to Wizard Of Oz's downfall was that it had the munchkins. They both scared AND annoyed me as a child.

And a few suggestion for films that should be put into one round are:

The Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Pay It Forward
It's A Wonderful Life
South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut
Finding Nemo
Dodgeball
Anchorman
Star Wars
Scary Movie 1/2/3
Farenheit 9/11
Bowling For Columbine

ALL HAIL XENU!!!

It has to be the Lion King, that was my favourite Disney movie as a child and I still love it. I tried to watch the Wizard of Oz once but I got bored with it.

Hm, this was a hard one I as love both. However... I have not seen Wizard of Oz as many times, and I love singing along with Scar, so... Lion King it is.

i honestly thought that the wizard of oz would have more votes. i suspect it would have in a forum filled with older people. this is a younger forum, in general.
