I was restocking, minding my own business, when-

The ANGRY Tax Beast steals 25% of your Neopoints because he's ANGRY!

I had 1.5 million out, and I don't even get him as a challenger, a trophy, an avatar, or anything. Instead, I arbitrarily lose 400k. What was TNT thinking when they made this random event? It's sure a good way to make people quit. I sent a request to the Editorial about this ridiculous abomination among Random Events, but I seriously doubt I'll be heard. Why do I have to give the Tax Beast money anyway? I don't owe him anything. He's small and green and occasionally turns red, but I could still step on him. It'll take me at least 5 days to make all that back

But seriously, TNT shouldn't have so many % random events. I guess when they made it, they didn't realize this site would eventually have people who take out millions at a time...

By the time the Tax Beast came in, there WERE already people who took out millions of Neopoints.

Ever since the first "Mall" opened its doors, certain people have been making millions and purchasing things from the Hidden Tower, Cove, other players, etc. If it WERE out for three years, we're talking about a loss that has a REALLY big impact on whoever received it. Nowadays, 25% is still staggering, but it doesn't take forever to recover it (Unless you have something like 20 million out).

One of my friends is a newbie and she had 300k (all her nps) out and lost 75k. She has quit the site until she cools off. I hate this RE.

I love those, and yet Illusion says I have too much money for her to give me more when I only had a few thousand out. I guess they have to bleed off excess currency somehow.

I don't see anyone whining when they give out paint brushes worth hundreds of thousands or whatever.

You get bad RE's and good RE's. That's why you don't walk around with millions out, or carry retired HT items around for ages, hoping the pant devil/grundo leader etc don't come steal it.

Part of the game, much of it's luck based, if you'll accept the good you have to accept the bad.
